Sunday, February 1 Daytime update

  • 9:30 am- Maureen is awake. Tom said that she woke up around 7:00, he laid down with her and she went back to sleep until 8:30 . She has been awake since. Tom has given her sips of water via swab.

  • 9:55 am- We raised the bed and administered 75 mcg of Levothyroxine with applesauce. Used the suction machine to help Maureen getting some phlegm out.

  • 10:00 am- We started the day with changing a medium wet diaper . Cleaned Maureen and applied Sureprep barrier film and Cavilon cream . Next we washed Maureen’s upper body. Dressed and transferred her to the front room.

  • 10:25 am- Maureen had 10 oz of electrolyte water. No coughs.

    Breakfast- omelette, half a banana, 10 oz of apple juice, little coffee. Maureen coughed three times, was able to get some phlegm out with the help of the suction machine, sneezed several times.

  • 11:15 am- Deacon Andy came in for the Sunday service.

  • 11;30 am- Oral care.

  • 11;35 am- Nebulizer treatment with Albuterol.

  • 11:50 am- Facial and hand care routine.

  • 12:00 pm- Maureen had 10 oz of coconut water.

  • 12:45 pm- Fresh fruit snack- watermelon and apple. Maureen coughed twice.

  • 1:20 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her rest break. Her diaper was heavy wet and she had an extra large formed bowel movement. Tom and I cleaned and changed her . Positioned Maureen on her right side.

  • 2:20 pm- Maureen’s rest break is over. Her diaper was medium wet. We cleaned and changed her. Dressed and transferred her to the recliner.

  • 3:00 pm- Maureen is enjoying Sister Roberta’s treatment.

  • 4:30 pm- Dinner- baked salmon, steamed broccoli, potato salad, 10 oz of sparkling water. Maureen coughed four times.

  • 5:45 pm- Administered 12.5 ml of Vimpat and 5 mg of Olanzapine with applesauce.

  • 5:50 pm- Evening oral care.

  • 6:00 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for the night. Diaper was medium wet. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Applied Cavilon cream. Applied Cetaphil lotion to her face, hands and legs. Positioned Maureen on her left side.

    P- 74

    O2- 99

  • Maureen consumed 40 oz of liquids today. She ate very well.
