Sunday December 26, 2021 Dayshift Update

• 8:00am Maureen is awake and chatting to herself.

• 9:00am Our morning begins. Started with filing of both big toes and application of Tolcylen. Allowed to air dry for at least 10 minutes. Cleaned the inner folds of Maureen’s skin with Aloe Vesta cleansing foam. We found no redness. Maureen’s diaper is wet - we cleaned up using the 3M cleanser spray, applied No Sting barrier film to the former pressure sore area, applied Cavilon barrier cream to appropriate areas, and put on a new diaper.

• 9:29am Started with a sip of water followed by a spoonful of honey.

• 9:32am Administered half of thyroid pill with applesauce.

• 9:35am Breakfast - Banana, cheese omelet, and chicken sausages with 4 oz prune juice and a cup of water.

  • Maureen coughed 4 times during breakfast.

• 10:00am Administered Lisinopril with applesauce.

• 10:02am Oral care.

• 10:06am Facial routine.

• 10:20am We headed to the front room. Maureen is in the recliner watching the Christmas mass on tv.

• 11:40am Visit with Deacon Andy for Holy Communion.

• 12:00pm We headed to the bedroom for a change - we cleaned up and put on a new diaper. Maureen is lying on her left side with two green wedge pillows behind her and the white block pillow in between her legs. Maureen will rest for one hour starting at 12:15pm.

• 1:20pm Rest period is over. Maureen’s diaper is wet- we cleaned up and put on a new diaper. Transferred Maureen to Geri chair using the Hoyer lift.

• 1:33pm Lunchtime - Casserole, asparagus, and salad with a bottle of coconut water.

• 2:07pm Oral care.

• 2:30pm We helped Maureen downstairs using the stair lift, waiting for our ride to Jewel for her COVID-19 booster shot.

• 3:20pm Lift service has arrived.

• 3:35pm Maureen received her booster shot.

• 3:45pm We have arrived back home.
