Sunday December 12, 2021 Dayshift Update

• 8:00am Maureen is awake. She is lying on her left side.

• 8:50am Our morning begins. We started by filing Maureen’s toenails and applying Tolcylen to both right and big toe. Maureen’s diaper is wet - we cleaned up, applied barrier film, Cavilon barrier cream, and put on a new diaper. The area around Maureen’s navel looks great compared to yesterday - no foul odor or discharge and it is considerably less red today. Her temperature is 97.7°. Gently cleaned with alcohol pad and applied a coat of Hydrocortisone.

• 9:16am Spoonful of honey followed by half of a thyroid pill with applesauce. Maureen will eat a ham, tomato and cheese omelet with a banana complemented with 4 oz prune juice and a cup of water.

• 9:49am Administered Lisinopril with applesauce.

• 10:02am Oral routine followed by facial routine.

• 10:20am We headed to the front room to watch this week’s episode of Survivor.

• 11:15am Deacon Andy came to give Maureen Holy Communion.

• 11:30am We headed to the bedroom for a change. Maureen’s diaper is wet - we cleaned up and put on a new diaper. Maureen is lying on her left side with two green wedge pillows placed behind her and the white block pillow placed in between her legs. Maureen will lay in bed for an hour starting at 11:40am.

• 1:00pm We rouse Maureen from her rest. Her diaper is wet- cleaned up and put on a new diaper.

• 1:25pm Lunchtime. Maureen will eat half of an egg salad sandwich with sliced tomato and pickle on the side, homemade lentil soup, and a bottle of coconut water.

• 1:55pm Oral care.

• 2:04pm We headed to the bedroom for another change. Maureen’s diaper is wet - cleaned up and put on a new diaper. We headed to the front room after.

• 3:05pm Fruit smoothie time.
