Sunday, April 6 Daytime update

  • 8:00 am- Maureen is sleeping.

  • 8:10 am- Maureen is waking up, she looks calm and relaxed.

  • 8:20 am- Tom gives Maureen sips of water via swab.

  • 8:30 am- We started the day- raised the bed and in upright position we administered 75 mcg of Levothyroxine with applesauce.

  • 8:35 am- Maureen’s diaper was dry. We still changed it. Cleaned and applied Cavilon barrier film to sacrum area, Cavilon cream on inner tights and Calazinc cream to her redness. Washed Maureen’s upper body. Dressed and transferred her to the kitchen.

  • Maureen had 5 oz of lemon water before breakfast.

  • 8:50 am- Breakfast- omelette, 1/4 of a pear, 8 oz of prune juice. Maureen coughed twice.

  • No Miralax today

  • 9:30 am- Administered 10 mg of Loratadin with applesauce. We reclined the chair down.

  • 9:40 am- Morning oral care.

  • 9:45 am- Facial and hands routine followed.

  • 10:30 am- Maureen had a half hour nap.

  • 10:45 am- Maureen had 5 oz of lemon water.

  • 11:15 am- Dead Andy came in for Sunday service.

  • 11:25 am - We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first rest break. Diaper was medium wet. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Positioned Maureen on her left side at 11:35 am.

  • 12:35 pm- Maureen’s rest break ended. Her diaper was dry. We dressed and transferred her to the kitchen.

  • 12:50 pm- Lunch- Beans soup, shrimp salad, pickled beets, 10 oz of coconut water. Maureen coughed three times, sneezed many times, her nose was running.

  • 1:30 pm- Oral care.

  • 1:40 pm- We did a nebulizer treatment since Maureen had a runny nose and was coughing with a gargling sound.

  • 1:50 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second rest break. Diaper was heavy wet. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Maureen will lie on her left side for an hour starting at 2:00 pm.

  • 3:00 pm- Maureen’s second rest break is over now. Her diaper was dry. We dressed and transferred her to the recliner.

  • 3:30 pm- Maureen is enjoying Sister Roberta’s treatment.

  • 3:45 pm- Maureen had 5 oz of lemon water.

  • 4:00 pm- Fresh fruit snack- watermelon, pear and kiwi. Maureen coughed twice.

  • 4:45 pm- Maureen had 5 oz of lemon water.

  • 4:55 pm- Maureen’s diaper is dry.

  • 5:00 pm- Dinner- Tuna casserole. Maureen coughed once.

  • 5:50 pm- Administered 12.5 ml of Vimpat and 5 mg of Olanzapine with applesauce.

  • 6:10 pm- Evening oral care.

  • 6:30 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for the night. Her diaper was heavy wet. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Applied Cavilon cream and Calazinc cream to the redness. Applied Cetaphil lotion to her face, hands, legs and feet. Positioned Maureen on her left side.

  • Maureen had 38 oz of water today. There was no vaginal discharge or spots at all. Maureen was very alert, gave us a few smiles in the afternoon.
