Saturday, October 14 Daytime update

  • 8:00 am- Maureen is awake, with Tom and Marie by her side.

  • 8:30 am- Maureen is fully awake and we started the day. Raised the bed and administered 75 mcg of Levothyroxine.

  • 8:35 am-Maureen's diper was medium wet. Marie and I changed it and started with giving Maureen a full body bed bath. Applied Cavilon Barrier film and Cavilon cream. No redness was observed. Dressed Maureen and headed to the kitchen.

  • 9:00 am- Breakfast- 6 oz of prune juice with 1/4 cup of Miralax, oatmeal smoothie with 1 tbs of flaxseed, cup of water,few sips of coffee. . Maureen had an episode of coughing with a grinding sound. We used the suction machine. Reclined Maureen's chair back because she was leaning forward while coughing.

  • Daily Miralax dosage- 1/4 cup.

  • 9:30 Administered 10 mg Loratadin tablet with a few tbsp of yogurt.

  • 9:40 am- Morning oral care.

  • 9:45 am- Facial routine.

  • 10;00 am- BP - 110/75.

  • 10:30 am- Maureen is resting in the chair, alert and engaging.

  • 11:00 am- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first rest break. Diaper was dry. Positioned Maureen on her right side at 11:10 am.

  • 12:10 pm- First rest break ends. Maureen's diaper was still dry. Marie and I proceeded with washing Maureen's hair. Headed to the kitchen after.

  • 12:20 pm- Drying and styling Maureen's hair.

  • 12:30 pm- Lunch- chicken noodle soup, slice of Giordano's pizza, few tbsp. of yogurt, 12 oz of spindrift sparkling water. No coughs during lunch.

  • 1:00 pm- Oral care. We reclined Maureen's chair after.

  • 2:00 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second rest break. Diaper was heavy wet. Marie and I cleaned and changed her. Maureen will lie on her left side for an hour starting at 2:15 pm.

  • 3:15 pm- Second rest break is over. Maureen's diaper was medium wet. Marie and I cleaned and changed her. Dressed and headed to the front room.

  • 3:30 pm- Fresh fruit snack- watermelon, kiwi and pear. No coughs.

9:30 am- Maureen is awake. Tom is by her side, giving Maureen sips of water. 10:00 am- We raised the bed and administered 75 mcg of crushed Levothyroxine with pear puree. Maureen had 6 oz of thickened
