Saturday, Sept. 16, 2023 - Daytime Summary

8:00AM - Came in with Maureen already awake. Calmly lying on her left side. As per Marie, Maureen has been awake since she arrived at 7:30am.

8:20AM - We raised the bed and in upright position, administered 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

8:30AM - We started Maureen's full body bed bath using warmed purple wipes and Aloe Vesta. No redness on skin observed. Diaper was dry, we cleaned and changed it. Applied Cavilon barrier film on sacral area and Cavilon cream on diaper folds. Finished dressing then headed to the kitchen.

9:00AM - BP: 110/70, 64

9:10AM - We started breakfast with 8oz of prune juice with 1/4 cap MiraLAX. Maureen enjoyed her oatmeal/fruit smoothie and a couple spoonfuls of yogurt. No coughs.

Daily dose of MiraLAX - 1/4 cap

9:35AM - Administered 10mg Loratadine with yogurt.

9:45AM - Oral care. Reclined geri chair one notch after for Maureen's comfort.

9:55AM - Facial and hand care.

10:25AM - Maureen's sister Kathy came to visit her. Maureen looking sleepy while sitting on the chair and even dozed off for 15mins.

11:00AM - Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her 1st rest break. Diaper was medium wet, we cleaned and changed. Positioned her to face her right side at 11:10am.

12:10AM - 1st rest break ended. Diaper was dry. We proceed washing Maureen's hair. Transferred to the kitchen after to blow hair dry and to style.

12:35PM - Maureen had grilled chicken salad, steamed brussel sprouts, yogurt and 12 oz of sparkling water. Coughed once.

1:10PM - Oral care.

1:30PM - Maureen's been quiet after having lunch. Energy low but awake. Did not sleep at all.

2:30PM - Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her 2nd rest break. Diaper was heavy wet. We cleaned and changed. Inserted suppository as per directed by Carolyn if still no bowel movement in the morning (today's the 3rd day of no BM). Then, positioned Maureen to face on her left side at 2:40PM.

3:30PM - 2nd rest break ended. Maureen had extra large formed bowel movement and medium wet diaper. Redness observed on anal area due to the bowel movement, applied Cavilon cream. We cleaned and changed thoroughly. Transferred to the front room.

3:50PM - Fruit snack time (melons).
