Saturday November 20, 2021 Dayshift Update

• 8:00am Maureen is awake. Her diaper is wet. We begin our day with a complete bed bath using the Aloe Vesta cleansing foam. 3M barrier film and Cavilon barrier cream was applied to appropriate areas. Also applied a thin layer of Nystatin cream under right breast, inner right forearm, and waistline. The redness in these areas are only slightly red today.

• 8:45am Administered thyroid medication with applesauce prior to breakfast. Maureen will eat her usual bowl of oatmeal, a banana, and 4 oz of prune juice and a full cup of water.

  • Maureen coughed 3 times during breakfast.

• 9:25am Administered Lisinopril with applesauce followed by a spoonful of honey.

• 9:33am Oral care. The area above Maureen’s implant looks good - only slightly red in color.

• 9:56am We headed to the front room and transferred Maureen to the recliner using the Hoyer lift. She is now relaxing watching tv.

• 10:30am Smoothie time.

• 11:40am It is time for Maureen’s first hour break in bed. Her diaper is wet - we cleaned up using the 3M cleanser spray and put on a new diaper. Maureen is turned to her right side with two green wedge pillows placed behind her and the white block pillow in between her legs.

• 1:00pm We roused Maureen from her rest. Her diaper is wet and she had a large, formed bowel movement. We cleaned up using the 3M cleanser spray and put on a new diaper. We transferred Maureen to the Geri chair using the Hoyer lift.

• 1:20pm Lunch time. Maureen will eat half a tuna sandwich with garlic green beans and homemade soup courtesy of Michael. She will also drink a bottle of coconut water.

• 1:52pm Oral care.

• 3:00pm We brought Maureen to the front room to relax in her recliner. Sister Roberta is here.

• 3:50pm Fruit snack time.
  

• 4:55pm, Sister Roberta packed up her things and we got Maureen ready to transfer to the day chair and then bed, for a change. Marie and Joanna teamed up to clean and change her, she was medium wet with a very small formed BM.
