Saturday, May 11 Daytime update

• Prior to 11 am, this is Tom's post

Maureen first opened her eyes around 6:45, took a couple sips of water via the mouth swab and went back to sleep … she’s been in and out of sleep since then.

8:00am Maureen has her eyes closed again , after just taking a couple more sips of water....

8:40am We raised the head of the bed and administered her Levothyroxine with a little apple sauce.

Marie warmed up some purple wipes in preparation to clean and change her.

Maureen was still dry after washing her up so we put clothes on and went to kitchen to get the day started.

9:10 am We are settled at the kitchen table, having 8 ounces of prune juice with half a cup of MiraLAX, followed by her fruit smoothie with oatmeal. By 10:00 am loratadine was given with a couple spoon of applesauce, which concluded breakfast

10:15am Oral care was provided by Marie facial care, and the rest of the spa day will be provided after her hair being washed later today. maureen decided it was time for a little rest period, the chair was reclined and a nice rest followed immediately.

• 11:00 am- Maureen is comfortably relaxing in her chair, listening to Irish music and snoozing from time to time.

• 11:30 am- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first rest break. Diaper was medium wet and she had an extra large loose bowel movement. Marie and I cleaned her thoroughly, applied Cavilon Barrier film and Cavilon cream. Positioned her on the right side at 11:50 am.

• 12:50 pm- Maureen's first rest break ends. Her diaper was dry. We dressed her and proceeded with washing her hair. Headed to the kitchen after.

• 1:00 pm- Drying and styling Maureen's hair.

• 1:05 pm- Lunch- Lentils soup, homemade chicken salad, fresh tomatoe, cup of sparkling water, a couple of spoons of yogurt, a little rice pudding for dessert. Maureen coughed once.

• 1:45 pm- Oral care.

• 1:50 pm- Facial routine.

• 2:10 pm- Maureen is snoozing in the chair.

• 2:30 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second rest break. Diaper was heavy wet. Marie and I cleaned and changed her. Positioned Maureen on her left side at 2:45

• 3:45 pm- Maureen's second rest break is over now. Diaper was dry. We dressed and headed to the living room. Transferred Maureen to the recliner.

• 4:00 pm- Maureen is enjoying her fruit- watermelon, pear and kiwi. Maureen coughed once.
