Saturday June 3, 2023 Daytime update

• 8:00am Maureen is awake, she’s lying on her left with Tom and Marrie by her bedside. They tell me, Maureen woke up about 20 minutes ago.

• 8:30am Maureen seems fully awake and ready to start the day. We raised the head of the bed and give her the Levothyroxine pill with apple sauce. Marrie and I continue with a full body bath using warmed purple wipes and aloe vesta. Changed and cleaned a md wet diaper and applied Cavilon bar and cream; dressed and headed Maureen to the kitchen.

• 9:05am Maureen is enjoying an oatmeal/fruit smoothie for breakfast. Coughed once.

• 9:30am Administered Lisinopril and Loratadine with smoothie.

Daily Miralax dosage: 1/4 cap w/6oz prune juice.

• 9:35am Reclined Maureen’s chair, she was leaning forward.

• 9:40am Oral care and facial routine performed.

• 10:20am While listening to Marcelito on Marrie’s phone, Maureen produced some singing sounds!!!

• Maureen is refusing to drink water, holds it in her mouth.

• 11:00am We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first break. Diaper was dry. Positioned on her right side, break #1 starts at 11:10.

• 12:00pm First break ends. We continue to wash Maureen’s hair. Diaper was still dry after hair wash, dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 12:15pm Blow dry and styled Maureen’s hair.

• 12:25pm Lunch: 1/2 boiled hotdog, carrots, beets, fresh tomato, a cup of lemon water and Greek yogurt for dessert. No coughs.

• 12:50pm Oral care.

• 1:30pm Maureen finished a second cup of lemon water!

• 2:00pm Maureen’s been alert and in good energy all day long! We take her to the bedroom for the second break. Changed and cleaned a heavy wet diaper and positioned on her Lt side starting at 2:15.

• 3:15pm Second break ends. Marrie and I changed and cleaned a md wet diaper and transferred Maureen to the living area.

• 3:40pm Maureen is enjoying her fruit snack (watermelon, kiwi and pear).

Daytime summary

Maureen started her day alert and with good energy. Coughs were minimal; ingested a sustancial amount water and ate her meals with enthusiasm. She’s been sitting straight, awake and in great spirit throughout the day. She sang along with Marncelito and that was hilarious!!!
