8:00am Upon arrival, Maureen’s awake lying her Rt side. Tom tells me that she just had a mild episode at 6:45am. Her eyes were opened wide, some movement of her arms, pulse went up to 120 , then started to go down right after .1 Lorazepam was administered.
8:30am Maureen is awake. Diaper is dry. Pulse: 74, O2: 93.
9:00am Maureen has been mostly awake only closing hers eyes for couple minutes an back. She is relaxed, pulse is 69, O2 is 94.
9:15am Maureen’s alert and fully awake. Tom and I changed and cleaned md wet diaper with 3m products and applied barrier film &cream. Performed full bed body bath using warmed purple wipes and aloe vesta. No redness observed. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.
10:00am Levothyroxine w/apple sauce administered. Breakfast: oatmeal, banana, prune juice w/1/2 cap miralax. Coughed 4 times, sneezed twice.
10:30am Lisinopril, loratadine, Guaifenesin administered.
10:35am Oral care performed.
10:45am Facial routine. Reclined Geri chair one notch.
Daily dosage of miralax: 1/2 cap
11:30am Maureen has been snoozing since facial routine. Saline Neb therapy performed. Congestion is low, nose running a little.
Because of the late start, we opted to skip the smoothie today.
12m Maureen is sound asleep on her chair. We headed to the bedroom for first break. Diaper was md wet, changed and cleaned with 3m products. Positioned on her left side break #1 starts at 12:15pm.
12:30pm Pulse; 69, O2: 95.
1:15pm First break ends. We washed Maureen’s hair. Diaper was dry; dressed and headed to the kitchen.
1:30pm Blow dried and styled Maureen’s hair .
1:40pm Lunch: cauliflower soup, chicken salad, Brussels sprouts salad, bottle coconut water, cup of lemon water. Coughed twice.
2:10pm Reclined chair one notch.
2:15pm Oral care.
2:30pm Maureen is taking a little snoozing.
2:50pm 20ml Guaifenesin administered.
3:00 pm Maureen finished drinking her lemon water! We take her to the bedroom. Cleaned and changed md wet diaper however, she pee and had a md soft bowel movement. cleaned and changed light wet diaper with 3m products, re-applied barrier cream and positioned her on her Rt side. Break #2 starts at 3:10 pm.
4:00pm Maureen’s sleeping on her break!
Daytime summary
Despite having an earlier mild episode, Maureen‘s energy has been good and stable throughout the day. Congestion is minimal. No much talking but very relaxed, even sleep for awhile during second break.
