Saturday January 15, 2022 Dayshift Update

• 8:00am Maureen is awake.

• 8:06am Our day begins with a complete bed bath. We noticed no redness on the inner folds of Maureen’s skin. Tolcylen applied to both big toes. Maureen’s diaper is wet- we cleaned up using the 3M cleanser spray, applied no sting barrier film followed by Cavilon barrier cream, and put on a new diaper.

• 8:32am Marie helped Maureen through some stretches and exercises in bed.

• 8:55am Transferred Maureen to the Geri chair using the Hoyer lift.

• 9:03am Spoonful of honey followed by thyroid pill with applesauce.

• 9:06am Breakfast - oatmeal, banana, 4 oz prune juice with a cup of water.

  • Maureen coughed 2 times.

• 9:30am Administered Lisinopril with applesauce.

• 9:34am Oral care.

• 9:42am Facial routine.

• 10:00am We headed to the front room. Maureen is sitting comfortably in the recliner.

• 10:30am Smoothie time.

  • Maureen did not cough.

• 11:10am We headed to the bedroom for a change. Maureen’s diaper is wet and she had a large, soft bowel movement. We cleaned up and put on a new diaper. Maureen is turned to her right side with two green wedge pillows placed behind her and the white block pillow placed in between her legs. She will rest for one hour starting at 11:35am.

• 12:35pm Rest period is over. Maureen’s diaper is wet - cleaned up and put on a new diaper.

• 12:40pm We washed Maureen’s hair in bed. Transferred Maureen to the Geri chair after using the Hoyer lift. Marie then dried and styled Maureen’s hair.

• 1:04pm Lunchtime - turkey sub from Jersey Mike‘s, chicken soup, and a bottle of organic coconut water.

  • Maureen did not cough.

• 1:26pm Oral care.

• 2:05pm We headed to the bedroom for a change. Maureen’s diaper is wet - we cleaned up and put on a new diaper.

• 2:20pm We headed to the front room. Maureen is sitting comfortably in the recliner.

• 2:30pm Sister Roberta has arrived.

• 3:30pm Fruit snack.

  • Maureen coughed once.
