Saturday February 11, 2023 Daytime update

• 8:00 am Maureen is lying on her left side with Tom by her bedside. She is awake, as per Tom, she has been on and off sleep since 5:15, and receptive to some water via swap.

• 8:45am Maureen’s well awake and ready to start her day. Marrie and I performed a full bed body wash using war purple wipes and aloe vesta. Changed and cleaned md wet diaper, applied Cavilon barrier and cream. We noticed some redness under her Rt breas and the one by her Rt elbow fold is still visible - applied a thin layer of nystatin. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 9:15am Levothyroxine administered. Breakfast: oatmeal, banana, 8oz prune juice w/1/2 cap miralax, a cup of lemon water. Maureen coughed 4 times , 3 sneezes; her nose was running during breakfast. We reclined her chair one notch befo she was done because she was leaning forward.

• 9:40am Lisinopril and loratadine administered.

• Daily Miralax dosage: 1/2 cap.

• 9:45am We sprayed saline mist to Maureen’s nose, she see congested and her nose keeps running.

• 9::55am Oral care.

• 10:10am Facial care performed.

• 10:30am Neb w/saline therapy.

• 10:45am Maureen is taking a snooze confortable in the Geri chair.

• 11:15am Maureen’s enjoying half fruit smoothie. Coughed and sneezed twice.

• 11:50am Headed Maureen to the bedroom for first break. Changed and cleaned md wet diaper and small formed bowel movement with 3m products and aloe vesta. Lying on her right side, break #1 starts at 12m.

• 12:50pm First break ends. Cleaned and changed md wet diaper and md formed bowel movement with aloe vesta and 3m products. Next we bed wash Maureen’s hair and headed to the kitchen.

• 1:10pm Blow dry and styled Maureen’s hair.

• 1:20pm Lunch: Brussels sprouts soup, tuna salad, mango salad, coconut water, lemon water. Coughed twice, sneezed once. Reclined Geri chair one notch during lunch, Maureen was leaning forward.

• Maureen, contrary to the last few days, has been talkative!!!

• 1:50pm Oral care.

• 2:20pm We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second break. Changed and cleaned heavy wet diaper using 3m products and re-applied cream. Lying on her Lt side, break #2 starts at 2:30pm.

• 3:20pm Second break ends. Diaper was dry. Dressed and headed Maureen to the front room.

• 3:35pm Maureen’s enjoying her fruit snack seating confortable in her recliner with Carolyn by her side! No coughs w/fruit snack.

Daytime summary

Maureen started her day congested a a runny nos, despite that, congestion got better and her energy to talk was there! Happy to report that today Maureen’s been Great!!!
