Saturday April 30, 2022 Dayshift Update

• 8:00am Maureen is awake, chatting to herself.

• 8:09am Our morning begins with a complete bed bath. We saw no redness anywhere on Maureen’s skin. Tolcylen applied to both big toes. Diaper is medium wet - we cleaned, applied no sting barrier film, cavilon barrier cream, and put on a new diaper. We finished helping Maureen dress for the day.

• 8:33am Marie is helping Maureen through a set of stretches and exercises in bed.

• 8:56am We transferred Maureen to the Geri chair using the Hoyer lift and headed to breakfast.

• 9:02am Spoonful of Manuka honey followed by thyroid pill with applesauce.

• 9:06am Breakfast - banana, oatmeal, 4 oz prune juice and a cup of water.

• 9:28am Administered Lisinopril and Claritin with applesauce.

• 9:33am Oral care.

• 9:38am Morning facial routine including arms and hands.

• Our morning today went well. Maureen was high energy from the get-go and communication was great. She coughed 3 times during breakfast. Low moan/groan started right before oral care.

• 9:56am We headed to the front room. Maureen is sitting comfortably in the recliner watching tv.

• 10:30am Organic fruit smoothie.

• 11:25am We headed to the bedroom for rest period #1. Her diaper is medium wet and she had a small, formed bowel movement - we cleaned, applied cavilon barrier cream, and put on a new diaper. Maureen will lie on her right side for one hour starting at 11:40am.

• 12:40pm Rest period #1 is through. Maureen’s diaper is medium wet - we cleaned up and put on a new diaper.

• 12:48pm I washed Maureen’s hair in bed. We headed to the kitchen after where Marie styled Maureen’s hair using two handfuls of the Uplifting foam.

• 1:07pm Lunch - half ham and Swiss cheese sandwich, coleslaw, and 12-oz bottle of organic coconut water. Maureen enjoyed a cookie for dessert.

• 1:34pm Oral care.

• 1:45pm We headed to the front room. Maureen is sitting comfortably in the recliner.

• 2:25pm We headed to the bedroom for rest period #2. Maureen’s diaper is medium wet and she had a small, formed bowel movement - we cleaned and changed. Maureen will lie on her left side for one hour starting at 2:38pm.

• 3:38pm Rest period #2 is through. Maureen’s diaper is medium wet - we cleaned and changed and headed to the front room.

• 3:50pm Fruit snack.
