Saturday April 23, 2022 Dayshift Update

• 8:00am Maureen is in and out of sleep. Tom is in the room with her.

• 8:55am Our morning begins with a complete bed bath. There is redness under Maureen’s waist - I gently cleaned the area and applied Nystatin. Tolcylen applied to both big toes. Maureen’s diaper is wet - we cleaned and changed. No sting barrier film and Cavilon barrier cream applied to the sacral area. We headed to the kitchen after.

• 9:28am Spoonful of Manuka honey followed by thyroid pill with applesauce.

• 9:35am Breakfast - banana, oatmeal, 4 oz prune juice and a cup of water.

• 10:03am Lisinopril and Claritin with applesauce.

• 10:10am Oral care.

• 10:13am Morning facial routine including arms and hands.

• 10:24am We lowered Maureen’s Geri chair down one notch. Marie is now helping Maureen through a set of stretches and exercises.

• Our morning was fair. Energy levels were low and communication was at a minimum. Maureen coughed 3 times during breakfast. She was slightly congested this morning.

• 11:00am We headed to the bedroom for rest period #1. Maureen’s diaper is medium wet and she had a small, formed bowel movement - we cleaned up and put on a new diaper. Maureen is lying on her right side with two green wedge pillows behind her and a pillow in between her legs and under her feet. Rest period #1 begins at 11:11am.

• 12:11pm Rest period #1 is over. Maureen‘s diaper is lightly wet - we cleaned and changed and soon after washed Maureen’s hair.

• 12:34pm Marie styled Maureen’s hair using two handfuls of the uplifting foam.

• 12:50pm Lunch - half turkey sandwich with Swiss cheese, beets, riced cauliflower, and a 12-ounce bottle of organic coconut water. Maureen also had a serving of rice pudding for dessert.

• 1:17pm Oral care.

• 1:40pm We lowered Maureen’s Geri chair down one notch to relieve pressure off her sacrum.

• 2:00pm We headed to the bedroom for rest period #2. Maureen’s diaper is medium wet and she had a medium, formed bowel movement. Cleaned, applied Cavilon barrier cream, and put on a new diaper. Maureen is lying on her left side with two green wedge pillows behind her and white block pillow in between her legs and a pillow under her feet. Rest period #2 began at 2:15pm.

• 3:15pm Rest period #2 is through. Maureen’s diaper is medium wet - we cleaned and changed. We headed to the front room after.

• 3:40pm Fruit snack.
