October 27 daytime update

• 8:00am Maureen's eyes are open but she is not completely awake. She is lying on her left side. Maya says Maureen has been in and out of sleep since 6:30am.

• 8:28am Our morning begins. Maureen's diaper is dry. We cleaned and applied 3M products. We next washed Maureen's upper body using warmed wipes from the purple packet. We dressed and headed to the kitchen after.

• 8:55am Levothyroxine and Docusate with applesauce.

• 8:56am Breakfast - banana, oatmeal, 8 oz prune juice, cup of water.

• 9:30am Lisinopril and Loratidine with applesauce.

• 9:33am Oral care.

• 9:40am Morning facial routine.

• 9:50am We reclined Maureen's Geri chair down one notch.

• Maureen fell asleep in the Geri chair from 10:05am to 10:49am.

• 10:55am Fruit smoothie.

• 11:14am We headed to the bedroom for rest break #1. Maureen's diaper is medium wet - we cleaned and changed. Maureen will lie on her right side for one hour starting at 11:23am.

• General Observation @ 11:30am - Our morning went well today. Maureen is engaged, smiling, full of energy. Congestion is evident. Breakfast saw two coughs. Maureen did fall asleep in the Geri chair for an extended period of time and she was disoriented when she woke up. Her eyes were wide open and she was not responsive to any verbal cues. This lasted for 3 minutes and Maureen returned to her usual state. Smoothie saw 3 coughs - one of them was accompanied by that grinding sound we have previously heard.

• 12:23pm Rest break #1 is over. Maureen's diaper is medium wet and she had a medium, formed bowel movement. We performed a clean and change and headed to the kitchen.

• 12:41pm Lunch - butternut squash soup, tuna salad, root vegetables and a bottle of organic coconut water. Maureen coughed 7 times and sneezed 4 times.

• 1:38pm Oral care.

• 1:44pm Eye wash and eye drops.

• 2:00pm We headed to the bedroom for rest break #2. Maureen's diaper is heavy wet - we cleaned and changed. Maureen will lie on her left side for one hour starting at 2:08pm.

• 3:08pm Rest break #2 is over. Maureen's diaper is dry. We headed to the front room.

• 3:23pm Fruit snack.
