October 20 daytime update

• 6:35AM - Maureen was awake when Maya arrived. She noted the diaper was wet.

• Our day officially began @ 8:15AM. Maureen is chatty—in fine form. Maya throughly cleaned Maureen using 3M Cavilon No Rinse Cleanse Spray. Next, she applied a layer of 3M Cavilon Barrier Cream to all skin areas exposed to urine and feces.

• New potential pressure ulcer> Maya and I did examine the former pressure ulcer area. There is what appears to be a new one forming. It currently has the now familiar bump/bug bite shape. Maya applied a fresh layer of 3M Cavilon No-Sting Barrier Film to the entire former pressure ulcer area—including the new spot. See the attached images.

• Breakfast service commenced at 8:45AM. The thyroid pill preceded the feeding. Maureen was tilting forward a bit in the geri chair. We recline it one notch for her comfort. Maureen coughed 2-3 times during breakfast—a typical day. She sneezed twice.

• Maureen will consume 4 ounces of prune juice during the morning.

• 9:10 - Maya administered the blood pressure pill.

• Daily MiraLAX dosage: None

• 9:17AM - Morning oral care routine begins.

• 9:55AM - Organic fruit smoothie time

• 10:00AM - We headed to the bedroom for the first one-hour rest installment. Maureen's diaper was dry.

• 10:15AM - Maureen will now rest on her right side for one hour.

• 11:15AM - We began the process of getting Maureen out of bed after her one hour rest and in advance of her hair appointment. She had a medium soft bowel movement in her diaper. Maya throughly cleaned her with the Medline wipes and Aloe Vesta Cleansing Foam.

• 11:35AM - Deanna and Kathy arrived to do color, shampoo and style Maureen's hair.

• 1:00PM - Lunch | 1/2 tuna salad sandwich on toasted whole wheat, homemade mushroom soup and green beens with garlic. Maureen also had one bottle of Harmless Harvest Organic Coconut Water.

• 1:35PM - Since Maureen had been sitting in the transport chair for quite a long time, we decided to take her to the bedroom early for her second one-hour installment of time off her back. Maya checked the pull up. It was wet. Maureen had a small soft bowel movement. As Maya was cleaning her, Maureen expelled a large amount of urine on the pad. We repeated the entire clean and change process.

• 1:50PM - Maureen will lay on her left side for one hour.

• 2:50PM - We began the process of getting Maureen out of bed. Her diaper was wet. We perfumed a standard clean and change process using 3M Cavilon No Rinse Cleansing Spray. Upon completion, we headed to the front room and places Maureen in her lift recliner to watch TPIR.
