October 12 daytime update

  • 8:28AM - Maurren remains asleep.

  • Maureen began her day @ 8:30AM.. The diaper is dry. Wednesday is bed bath day. Click/tap here for a detailed overview of the process Maya and I use each week -

  • Breakfast service began @ 9:10AM. Posture in the geri chair is near perfect. We used the two green wedge pillows and the red couch pillow to set Maureen up perfectly. Click/tap here for detailed overview of the entire breakfast service process Maya and I use each day.

  • Daily MiraLAX dosage: 1/2 cap

  • 9:55AM - Morning oral care routine

  • 10:00AM - We tilted the geri chair back one level for Maureen's comfort and to relieve stress off of her sacrum.

  • 10:05AM - Morning facial routine

  • General observations @ 10:20AM> The entire morning went well. Maureen had good energy. Her eyes were wide open. As you would expect, engagement and communication were very good. Chewing and swallowing was average during the breakfast service—five coughs. We broke out of the gate in good form.

  • 10:40AM - Organic fruit smoothie

  • 11:00AM - we took going to the bedroom in advance of rest break number one. The diaper was heavy wet. Maureen also had a large formed bowel movement. After completing a clean and change, Maya and I placed a Maureen on her right side.

  • 11:24AM - Rest break #1 begins

  • 12:35PM - Rest Break #1 ends. Diaper was dry.We shampooed Maureen's hair. Upon completion, it was off to the kitchen for the styling phase. Maya added some mousse and perfection.

  • 1:05PM - Lunch | Maya prepared a serving of tuna salad, 1/2 bowl of homemade meatball soup and a serving of butternut squash and cranberries. Maureen will also enjoy one 12-ounce bottle of Harmless Harvest Coconut Water.

  • 1:39PM - Afternoon oral care

  • General observations @ 1:50PM> Lunch was again a mixed bag. Maureen had good energy, engagement and communication. On the downside, shoe coughed 10 times and sneezed on several occasions. It is a bit of a mystery as to what is causing these sustained bouts of coughing.

  • 2:00PM - We headed to the bedroom for Rest Break #2. The diaper was medium wet. After completing a clean & change, Maya and I placed Maureen on her right side.

  • 2:11PM - Rest Break #2 begins.

  • 2:55PM - Rest Break #2 concludes. Diaper is dry. Maya and I dressed Maureen. We then headed to the front room for the remainder of the day.

  • 3:10PM - Fruit snack
