  • 6:30AM - Maureen was awake. She did not go back to sleep.

  • Maureen's day began @ 8:20AM. The delay was due to a tire blowout I had on the Kennedy Expressway. Tom came out to help me. Maureen is in very good spirits—laughing and smiling quite often. The diaper was dry and remained so throughout the prep process. We performed the morning was process of Maureen's upper body. None of the areas we clean on a regular basis required the application of Nystatin Ointment.

  • Breakfast began @ 8:58AM. Maureen's posture in the geri chair is good. She continues to tilt to the left a bit. We use a green wedge pillow on each side and insert Magic Mike directly behind her left hip to help perfect her posture. Maya gave Maureen a tea spoon of Manuka honey. We are starting out with it right away to see if it reduces the amount of coughing during breakfast. She then administered the thyroid pill immediately after the honey. Maureen handled breakfast reasonably well. She coughed five times.

  • General observation @ 9:15AM> Maureen is somewhat congested in her nose today.

  • Maureen will consume approximately 4 ounces of prune juice this morning.

  • Daily MiraLAX dosage: None

  • 9:34AM - Maya administered the blood pressure medication.

  • 9:41AM - Morning oral care routine.

  • 9:54AM - Eyelash cleaning and eye drops.

  • 10:32AM - Morning organic fruit smoothie. Maureen only coughed once while enjoying Maya's concoction.

  • 11:00AM - Maya and I transported Maureen to the bedroom to prepare for Rest Break #1. The diaper was medium wet. After performed a clean and change, we positioned Maureen on her left side.

  • 11:17AM - Rest Break #1 | Maureen will rest on her left side for the next 45-60 minutes.

  • 12;:17PM - Rest Break #1 concludes. The diaper was light wet. We had just about wrapped up the clean and change process when Maureen began to have a small formed bowel. She also urinated on the pad. Maya and I replaced the pad and performed the clean and change process. We then headed to the kitchen for lunch.

  • 12:47PM - Lunch | A serving of broccoli chicken, a serving of brussel sprouts and a serving of vegetable medley. Maureen will also consume 1 12 ounce bottle of Harmless Harvest Organic Coconut Water. Maureen did not cough at all during lunch.

  • 1:23 - Afternoon oral care

  • 2:05PM - Maureen's JourneyCare RN Julie Krall came to the house for her weekly visit.

  • 2:25PM - We headed to the bedroom for Rest Break #2. The diaper was medium wet. While we were doing a clean and change, Maureen had a small formed bowel movement and urinated on the pad. Maya and I replaced the pad and repeated the clean and change process. We positioned Maureen on her right side.

  • 2:45PM - Maureen will now rest on her right side for the next hour.

  • 3:45PM - Rest period #2 concludes. Diaper was light wet. We performed a clean and change and headed to the front room.
