Monday September 4, 2023 Daytime update

• 6:30am Maureen’s asleep lying on her left side.

• 7:00am Maureen is sleeping.

• 7:30am Maureen’s sound asleep.

• 8:00 am Maureen woke up couple minutes ago. She was calm at the beginning, but then started twitching a little and making the clicking of the tongue sound. Her pulse was in the 90s, going up to 115 in the next 5 minutes and down to 90s again after another 5 minutes. She did scare/jump gestures a couple times.

• 8:25am Maureen’s fully awake, we raised her bed and administered 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 8:35am Maureen seems really to start her day. Emily and I changed and cleaned a md wet diaper and applied Cavilon barrier and cream. Next, we washed Maureen’s upper body with warmed purple wipes and aloe vesta; no redness observed. Dressed and headed to the kitchen. 8:55am Maureen’s enjoying an oatmeal/fruit smoothie, 6oz prune juice with 1/4 cap Miralax, and couple spoons of Greek yogurt. She coughed once.

• Daily Miralax dosage: 1/4 cap.

• 9:15am Administered 10mg Loratadine with smoothie.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

• 9:20am Morning oral care.

• 9:30am Saline Neb treatment.

• 9:40am Eyes care.

• 9:45am Facial routine.

• 10:00am Blood pressure: 116/69, pulse: 84.

• Maureen stayed mostly awake after breakfast.

• 11:00am Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first break. Diaper was dry, positioned on her right side at 11:10am.

• 12:10pm First break ends. Diaper was md wet, cleaned and changed. Dressed and headed Maureen to the kitchen.

• 12:25pm Lunch: Tomato/green pepper soup, turkey/cheese salad, fresh cucumber and tomato, a full cup of sparkling water and couple spoons of Greek yogurt for dessert. Maureen didn’t cough.

• 12:55 pm Oral care.

• 1:15pm Blood pressure: 120/70, P 69.

• 1:45pm Maureen finished drinking her first cup of lemon water.

• 2:00pm Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second break. Changed and cleaned a heavy wet diaper and a very small formed bowel movement. Positioned on her Lt side at 2:15pm.

• 3:15pm Second break ends. Changed and cleaned a md wet diaper. Dressed and headed Maureen to the front room.

• 3:35pm Maureen’s enjoying her fruit snack ( melon/pear). She did not cough.
  

Summary

Maureen’s been quiet, alert and awake mostly all day. She enjoyed her meals, specially fruits. 🙏
