Monday, May 8 Daytime update

• 6:30 am- Maureen is awake. She is laying on her right side and has been awake since 5 am.

• 6:45 am- Maureen is moving her hands and legs a lot. Carolyn and I repositioned her on the left side. Diaper was dry.

• 7:00 am- Maureen is calmer now. She is closing her eyes from time to time.

• 7:30 am- Maureen is in and out of sleep , still calm and relaxed.

• 8:00 am- Maureen is still in and out of sleep.

• 8:30 am- Maureen is awake and we raised the bed. Administered Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 8:50 am- We started the day. Maureen's diaper was medium wet. There was still some vaginal discharge. Joanna and I washed Maureen with water and then with Cavilon cleanser. Applied Cavilon Barrier film on her sacrum area and Cavilon cream. We next washed Maureen's upper body. Dressed , transferred her to the chair and headed to the dining area.

• 9:15 am- Breakfast- Smoothie with a couple of tbsp of oatmeal, 6 oz of prune juice with 3/4 cup of Miralax, cup of lemon water. Maureen coughed twice.

• Daily Miralax dosage- 3/4 cup.

• 9:45 am- Administered Loratadin and lisinopril.

• 9:50 am- Morning oral care.

• 10:00 am- Facial routine. Maureen finished her lemon water.

• 10:30 am- Maureen is snoozing in the chair.

• 11:00 am- We transferred Maureen to the bed for rest break #1. Diaper was dry. We positioned her on the right side at 11:10 am.

• 12:10 pm- First rest break ends. Maureen's diaper was medium wet with a extra large formed bowel movement. There was still a little vaginal discharge. Joanna and I cleaned Maureen thoroughly. Dressed , transferred her to the Geri chair and headed to the dining area.

• 12:25 pm- Lunch- mushroom soup, tuna salad, red beets, cup of water. Maureen coughed twice. She finished her cup of water.

• 1:00 pm- Oral care.

• 1:30 pm- Maureen is resting in the chair.

• 2:05 pm- We transferred Maureen to bed. Diaper was heavy wet. Joanna and I cleaned and changed her. Maureen will lie on her left side for an hour starting at 2:20 pm.

• 3:20 pm- Second rest break ends. Maureen's diaper was dry. We dressed and transferred her to the recliner.

• 3:30 pm- Fresh fruit snack- pear and watermelon. No coughs.
