April 5 daytime update

• Day began @ 8:05AM. Maureen is quite jovial this morning. Her diaper was wet. Maya cleaned her thoroughly and put on a new pull up.

• Posture in chair is excellent. Sitting upright without assistance.

• Engagement and response levels are very good. She is laughing and smiling frequently.

• High volume of coughing this morning during breakfast.

• Nose congestion is high. We will administer a dose of Flonase.

• Maureen consumed a 1/2 glass of prune juice.

• 8:35AM - She took all of her morning meds.

• Maureen has engaged, smiled and laughed more than we have seen in a long time.

• 9:35AM - We took Maureen to the bathroom. Her pull up was dry. She did not urinate or move her bowels.

• 9:45AM - Maureen is beginning to lose energy. She is leaning to the left and her speech is not as clear. Maya just had to insert a green wedge pillow into the day chair to get her to sit upright.

• As of 10:00AM, Maureen's arms and legs are not stiff.

• 11:25AM - Maureen continued to lose energy. Speech is more garbled. Her posture is deteriorating. Drooling has begun.

• 12:30PM - We took Maureen to the bathroom. She expelled a large amount of cloudy urine. No bowel movement. Her pull up was dry.

• GENERAL OBSERVATION> 2:00PM - Maureen has coughed a good deal consistently throughout the day so far.

• 3:05PM - Headed to the bathroom. No urination or bowel movement. Pull up was dry.
