Monday August 26, 2024 Daytime update

• 8:00am Maureen sleeps soundly, she’s lying on her left side.

• 8:30am Maureen’s still sleeping.

• 9:02am Maureen woke up with slight twitching that lasted about 7 minutes. There’s no wide eyes or clinching hands; receptive to sips of water via swab soon after.

• 9:25am Maureen is awake, we raised the bed to administer 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 9:30am Merianne and I started the day by giving Maureen a full body bath using dampened washcloth and Cetaphil cleanser. No redness observed. Clean/change a medium wet diaper, applied Cavilon barrier film to sacrum and barrier cream to inner thighs area. No vaginal discharge observed. Dressed and continued to wash Maureen’s hair, then headed to the kitchen.

• 9:55am Breakfast starts with coffee and a cup of lemon water.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for Maureen’s comfort.

• 10:10am Blow/dry and styled Maureen’s hair.

• 10:25am Breakfast cont. with an oatmeal/fruit smoothie with an Activia yogurt.

• Carolyn visits Maureen.

• 10:35am Administered 10mg loratadine and 1 capsule Colace stool softener with smoothie.

• No Metamucil, Colace stool softener instead.

• 10:40am Oral care.

• 10:50am Eyes wash/drops and facial routine performed.

• 11:20am Maureen sits relaxed and alert while listening to her playlist; having half cup of lemon water in the meantime.

• 11:30am Tranferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s first resting break. Diaper it’s dry, positioned on her right side.

• 12:30pm First break ends. Clean/change a medium wet diaper, dressed and headed to the kitchen. No vaginal discharge observed.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for Maureen’s comfort.

• 12:45pm Blood pressure: 102/60, P 61.

• 12:50pm Lunch: Chicken vegetable soup, chicken salad with fresh tomato, full cup of sparkling water and caramel/cookies ice cream for dessert. Coughed three times, suction pump used once.

• 1:30pm Oral care.

• 2:20p Maureen stayed alert and relaxed after meal. Had 1/4 cup of lemon water in the meantime.

• 2:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second resting break. Clean/change a medium wet diaper, positioned on her left side. No vaginal discharge observed.

• 3:30pm Second break ends. Clean/change a medium wet diaper, no vaginal discharge observed. Dressed headed to the living area.

• 3:45pm Maureen is enjoying her fruit snack (melon/pear/kiwi) and a cup of lemon water.
