Monday, Aug. 11, 2025 - Daytime Update

8:00AM - Maureen's lying on her left side, soundly sleeping. No signs of any distress. O2 via nasal cannula at 98%, P: 58bpm


8:30AM - Maureen's still sleeping.


8:50AM - Maureen slightly opened her eyes, still looking sleepy. We gave her more time before we start her day.


15 mins after, we placed her in an upright position and administered 75mcg of Levothyroxine with apple sauce.


BP: 100/59, O2: 97%, P: 55


9:20AM - Neb treatment with albuterol.


9:40AM - Administered 1 tab 4mg Methylprednisolone with apple sauce.


Me and Dalia gave Maureen a full body bed bath using water and Cetaphil cleanser - no redness on skin. Diaper was dry, we cleaned and changed her. Applied Cavilon barrier film on sacrum and cream on inner thighs. We dressed her and proceed to wash her hair.


10:05AM - We transferred to the front room. Administered 10mg of Loratadine with apple sauce.


Breakfast - Maureen had 10oz of lemon water before she had the waffle and pear. She also took 2 oz of coconut water. Dry cough (3x) with the liquid and did not cough while eating. Maureen chew very well, opening mouth for more.


10:50AM - Administered 1 tab 500mg crushed Amoxicillin with apple sauce and 20ml expectorant with apple sauce.


11:00AM - Oral care.


Eye care/eye drops routine.


11:45AM - Maureen had a quick 15-20min nap while resting on her recliner. We transferred her to the bedroom for the 1st rest break. Diaper was heavy wet, we cleaned and changed her. Position to face the right side.


12:27PM - Maureen closed her eyes.


1:10PM - Maureen finally woke up from a good nap. Diaper was clean and dry, we got her dressed and moved to the front room.


1:20PM - Lunch - chipotle bowl (chicken, beans and mild pico de gallo), and 8oz apple juice. Maureen had a mix of dry and wet coughs.


2:15PM - Neb treatment with albuterol.


2:30PM - Oral care.


2:45PM - Shelly, RN arrived for Maureen's weekly nurse visit. Lungs clear upon checking. She advised to keep albuterol 3x a day treatment, O2 and cough expectorant for the rest of the week.
