8:00am Maureen is awake, lying on her left. Tom tells, she woke up around 5:45am, had sips of water via swab, and has been in and out of sleep since.
8:30am Maureen seems fully awake, we raised the bed to administer 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.
8:40am Our day starts giving Maureen an upper body bath using warmed purple wipes. Merianne and I cleaned and changed a light wet diaper, applied Cavilon barrier film to the sacrum and barrier cream to inner thighs. No redness observed. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.
9:00am Breakfast: 8oz prune juice, oatmeal/fruit smoothie and a cup of lemon water. No coughs during breakfast but, Maureen had a cough -sneezing-red face and runny nose episode afterward.
9:20am Administered 10mg loratadine with smoothie.
Daily Miralax dosage: 1/4 cup.
9:35am Saline Neb treatment after episode mentioned above.
9:50am Morning oral care.
10:00am Eyes wash/drops and facial routine performed.
10:30am Maureen sits relaxed and awake while watching a Disney show.
10:45am Blood pressure: 100/63, p 64.
11:30am Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s first resting break. Diaper was medium wet with a Medium-soft BM, cleaned and changed, then positioned on her right side.
11:50am Maggie, RN from Journey Care visits Maureen for Re-evaluation. Lungs are clear
12:30pm First break ends. Diaper was dry, dressed and headed to the kitchen.
12:45pm Lunch: Green pigeon soup, quiche with tomato/broccoli sauce, full cup of sparkling water and rice pudding for dessert. Maureen coughed and sneezed once.
Reclined Geri chair one notch during meal, Maureen was leaning forward.
1:30pm Oral care.
2:00pm Maureen is in good spirits listening to her playlist.
Maureen had 3/4 cup of ginger tea.
2:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second resting break. Cleaned and changed a medium wet diaper with a Medium-soft BM then positioned on her left side.
3:30pm Second break ends. Diaper was medium wet, cleaned and changed, dressed and headed to the living area.
3:45pm Maureen is enjoying her fruit snack (melon/pear/kiwi). Also had 1/4 cup of ginger tea.
