May 21 daytime update

• 6:35AM - Maureen is sound asleep. Her diaper is wet.

• 8:50AM - Maureen remains asleep.

• Day officially began at 9:40AM. Maureen is in good form—somewhat groggy. Her diaper is wet. Maya thoroughly cleaned her and put on a fresh pull up. The red spot/area in the image sent last night was not visible this morning—only a thin red line around the area in question. After Maya completed the clean up process, even the thin red line vanished. Maya assessed the situation and concluded that there was no need to apply Desitin. Tom was present. He concurred.

• Breakfast began at 9:55AM. Maureen was leaning slightly to the right today. Maya inserted a green wedge pillow into the day chair to straighten her posture.

• Maureen will consume 1/2 glass of prune juice today.

• Nasal congestion is negligible. We will not administer a does of Flonase into each nostril.

• Coughing was at a minimum during breakfast— 1 to 2 times. Maureen continues to experience almost no difficulty whatsoever in chewing and swallowing.

• 10:12AM - Morning medications administered—blood pressure and baby aspirin.

• 10:50AM - Maureen started to slump forward slightly.

• 12:00pm Maureen is lying in her recliner, dozing off. Maureen napped for 35 minutes.

• 12:55pm Maureen is up to the bathroom. Pull-up is dry. After 10 minutes, Maureen did not urinate or move her bowels.

• 1:10pm Lunch time. Maureen ate 100% of her lentil soup, tomato, and tuna sandwich and drank half a cup of water. Maureen did a great job sitting upright for her meal.

• 2:32pm We decided to take Maureen to the bathroom again since she has had no activity since she woke up this morning. Pull-up is still dry. After waiting for 18 minutes, Maureen still has not urinated or moved her bowels.

• 3:05pm Using the chair lift, transferred Maureen downstairs and in to the other day chair and went outside to enjoy the beautiful weather by the back patio. Maureen enjoyed a delicious Load’d ice cream bar.

• Maureen has been constantly leaning forward and needs the green wedge pillow to help her sit upright.
