May 13 daytime update

• 6:35AM - Maureen is awake. Her diaper is dry.

• 7:15AM - Maureen continues to be awake. Diaper remains dry.

• Day officially began @ 9:10AM. Maureen's disposition is good. Her diaper was dry. Maya cleaned her and put on a fresh pull up and pair of pants.

• 9:25AM - Breakfast begins. Maureen is tilting slightly to the left in the day chair. Maya inserted a green wedge pillow to straighten her posture.

• Nasal congestion is minimal. We will skip the Flonase.

• 9:42AM - Morning medications administered - blood pressure and baby aspirin.

• Maureen consumed 1/2 glass of prune juice during breakfast.

• 9:50AM - Maureen is slumping forward to the point where Maya inserted a second green wedge pillow into the day chair to straighten her posture.

• 10:30AM - Maureen was slumping forward so much that we decided to move her to the lift recliner.

• 11:45AM - Maureen had a normal solid bowel movement in her pull up. The pull up was wet. Maya and Carolyn cleansed and changed Maureen in the lift recliner. This was a very challenging/labor intensive endeavor. Both Carolyn and Maya said they would never attempt to do it in the lift recliner again.

• Lunch - It is Pasta Thursday. Chef Brian slaved over the stove to make bow tie pasta with marinara sauce.

• Maureen sat up reasonably well in the day chair during and after lunch without assistance.

• 3:10PM - Maya checked Maureen’s pull up. It was wet. We took Maureen to the bathroom. Pull up was soaked. It seeped through to her pants. Maya thoroughly cleaned Maureen. She put on a fresh pull up and new pair of pants.
