  • 6:30AM - Maureen is awake. Maya will give her small sips of water from the swab periodically as long as she remains fully awake.

  • 7:10AM - Maureen remains awake. The diaper is dry.

  • Maureen began her day @ 8:10AM. She is in good form this morning—alert and engaged. First order of business was the application of Tolcylen to both big toenails. We next performed a clean & change using all three 3M Cavilon products where appropriate. Our morning routing concluded with cleaning all areas of focus on Maureen's upper body with Aloe Vesta Cleansing Foam using warm wipes from the purple packet. We did not observe any areas of redness/irritation.

  • Breakfast service kicked off @ 8:50AM. Posture in the geri chair is very good. Maureen is tilted a bit forward and to the left. Maya first gave Maureen a teaspoon of Manuka Honey followed immediately by the administration of the thyroid medication with a smattering of applesauce.

  • Maureen will consume approximately four ounces of prune juice this morning.

  • Daily MiraLAX dosage: None

  • General observations @ 9:21AM> Breakfast has just concluded. Maureen is once again losing energy. Eyes are now slightly closed. Chewing and swallowing are more deliberate. Coughing was low—only three. Engagement and communication levels have dropped. On a positive note, Maureen is not congested this morning. We are now in the second week of giving Maureen Claritin. It appears as if this pill is having its intended effect.

  • 9:23AM - Maya administered the blood pressure medication and Claritin with a wee bit of applesauce.

  • 9:34AM - After a brief nap, Maureen'e energy level has uptick. She is now more engaging and communicative.

  • 9:40AM - Morning oral care routine

  • 9:56AM - Morning facial routine - including hands and arms.

  • 10:12AM - Hand, arm, shoulder and leg exercises

  • 10:37AM - Organic fruit smoothie

  • 10:55AM - It was time to prepare for Rest Break #1. Diaper was medium wet. As we were wrapping up the clean & change process, Maureen urinated on the pad. We replaced the pad and repeated the clean & change process. Maya and I then placed Maureen on her right side.

  • 11:15AM - Rest Break #1 begins

  • 12:31PM - Rest Break #1 ends. Diaper is light wet. We performed a clean & change and then proceeded to take Maureen to the kitchen for lunch.

  • 12:45PM - Lunch | 1/2 a tuna salad sandwich on toasted sourdough bread, 1/2 a bowl of homemade split pea with chicken soup and a serving of Brussels sprouts. Maureen will consume one 12-ounce bottle of Harmless Harvest Organic Coconut Water. For dessert, Maureen will enjoy a small serving of rice pudding.

  • 1:45PM - Afternoon oral care

  • 2:05PM - It was time to transport Maureen to the bedroom for Rest Break #2. Diaper was medium wet. Maya and I completed a clean & change. We then placed Maureen on her right side.

  • 2:18PM - Rest Break #2 begins

  • 3:10PM - Rest Break #2 ends. Diaper was light wet. This is somewhat surprising. After completing a clean & change, Maya and I took Maureen to the front room.

  • 3:25PM - Afternoon fruit snack.
