May 11 daytime update

• 6:30AM - Maureen is sleeping.

• 6:50AM - No change. Maureen continues to sleep.

• 7:10AM - Maureen remains asleep.

• 7:40AM - Maureen is beginning to wake up. She is stirring lightly. Maya will give her sips of water via a mouth swab from now until the time Maureen gets out of bed.

• Maureen began her day @ 7:55AM. She is in good form today. Congestion is moderate. We elected not to give Maureen a nebulizer treatment. The diaper is medium wet. Wednesday is bed bath day. Click/tap here for a detailed overview of the process Maya and I use each week.

• Breakfast service began @ 8:37AM. Posture in the geri chair is very good. Maureen is listing a bit to the left. We used the two wedge pillows to straighten her posture. We also inserted the red velour couch pillow behind Maureen's head since it was tilting back to much to be in an optimal position to eat her breakfast. • Daily MiraLAX dosage: None

• We will give Maureen 6 ounces of prune juice this morning—2 ounces more than normal because Maureen has not had a bowel movement in more than 1.66 days.

• 9:32AM - Morning oral care routine

• General observations @ 9:38AM> The day has gotten off to a good start. Maureen has good energy which in turn produces responsiveness, engagement and communication. Coughing was almost nonexistent during breakfast—just one cough. Congestion is minimal.

• 9:45AM - We tilted the geri chair back one notch for Maureen's general comfort and to relieve stress/pressure off of her lower back.

• 9:50AM - Morning facial including hands and arms

• 10:20AM - Hand, arm and shoulder exercises

• 10:35AM - Organic fruit smoothie

• 10:57AM - We transported Maureen to the bedroom for Rest Break #1. Diaper was medium wet. Upon completion of a clean & change process, we set Maureen up on her right side.

• 11:09AM - Rest Break #1 begins

• 12:08PM - Rest Break #1 ends. Diaper is medium wet. Maureen also had a medium formed bowel movement. Maya and I performed a clean & change. We then proceeded to get everything ready to shampoo and style Maureen's hair.

• 12:19PM - Hair shampoo

• 12:40PM - Lunch | 1/2 a tuna salad sandwich on toasted sourdough bread, 1/2 bowl of homemade lentil soup and 1/4 of a tomato sliced. Maureen will consume one 12-ounce bottle of Harmless Harvest Organic Coconut Water during the lunch service. For dessert, Maureen enjoyed two chocolate strawberries.

• 1:50PM - Afternoon oral care

• General observations @ 2:00PM> Lunch was a bit rough today. Maureen was very congested. She coughed seven times during lunch and sneezed twice. We are going to move forward and administer a saline treatment using the nebulizer.

• 2:04PM - Saline solution nebulizer treatment

• 2:15PM - We took Maureen to the bedroom for what will be a truncated Rest Break #2. The diaper was heavy wet. We placed Maureen on her back since this break will be approximately 30 minutes at most.

• 2:28PM - Rest Break #2 begins

• 3:05PM - Rest Break #2 ends. Diaper was dry. We did not clean and change Maureen. Maya and I transported Maureen to the front room for the remainder of the afternoon.
