6:35AM - Maureen is sleeping soundly.
The day officially began @ 8:04AM. Maureen is in good spirits. Her diaper was wet. Maya thoroughly cleaned Maureen using the wipes contained in the purple packet that she warmed in the microwave. Maya and Brian did not see any red spots anywhere on Maureen's posterior area. We then put a new pull up on and a fresh pair of shorts. It is summer time!!!
Breakfast service began at 8:24AM. Maureen is sitting up nicely in the day chair without assistance of any of the wedge pillows. She is listing slightly to her left.
Maureen ate well. Coughing was almost nonexistent.
8:43AM - Morning meditations administered—baby aspirin and blood pressure.
While brushing Maureen's teeth after breakfast this morning, Maya noted that the gum area around the missing left incisor tooth is helping up nicely. It does not look as irritated as it did on Friday June 4.
Nasal congestion is minimal. We will not administer any Flonase.
Maureen consumed 1/2 glass of prune juice during breakfast. As usual, she practically guzzled it. She did not hold a single drop in her mouth.
Even though Maureen is sitting upright in the chair without assistance this morning, she is drooling somewhat frequently. This is a bit odd.
9:36AM - Maureen continues to sit upright in the day chair unassisted. She is doing a good job of using the cups, squeeze ball and stretchy band.
10:02AM - Fruit smoothie time—organic and delicious. Who could ask for anything more?
10:34AM - Maureen's posture, energy and overall engagement were beginning to deteriorate significantly. We decided to take her to the lift recliner. Prior to doing so, Maya checked her pull up. It was dry.
11:35AM - Maureen began to fidget around in the lift recliner. We immediately assume she had to go to the bathroom. Maya checked her. She was wet. We went to the bathroom. Pull up was soaked. Maureen did not move her bowels. She also did not urinate any more. Maya thoroughly cleaned Maureen and put a fresh pull up on her. We checked for red marks. They were none.
12:55PM - Lunch. Maureen had homemade mushroom soup 1/2 a bologna sandwich and a sliced tomato. She also consumed 1 12 once bottle of coconut water. She did not hold a drop if it in her mouth.
1:23PM - Maya noticed a very small amount of blood coming from the gum area of the missing left incisor tooth while she was brushing Maureen's teeth after lunch.
2:00PM - Since the conclusion of lunch at approximately 1:20, Maureen has been sitting in the day chair in the kitchen. She is not very talkative. Her head is slumped forward 10 degrees or so.
2:30PM - We transferred Maureen to the lift recliner from the day chair for the rest of the afternoon.
3:45PM - Maya checked Maureen's pull up. It was wet. We took Maureen to the bathroom. The pull up was soaked. Maureen had a large firm bowel movement in the toilet. Maya thoroughly cleaned Maureen. She put on a new pull up.
