June 30 daytime update

• 6:35AM - Maureen is lightly stirring. Maya checked her diaper. It was wet. She cleaned Maureen thoroughly with warmed wipes from the purple packet and put on a new diaper.

• 7:30AM - Maureen is sleeping lightly/stirring. She chats with herself from time to time. We took this opportunity to use the massage feature of the Tempur-Pedic mattress. All indications are that she likes it.

• Our day officially began @ 8:03AM. Maureen is in good form—alter and engaged. Her diaper is dry. Maya cleaned her with warm wipes from the purple packet. She noted no red marks.

• 8:22AM - Thyroid pill administered.

• Breakfast service began at 8:23AM. Maureen is listing a bit to the left in the chair. Her head is turned a few degrees to the left. Maya inserted a green wedge pillow into the day chair to adjust her position. Overall, Maureen's posture is significantly better than yesterday.

• Maya will feed Maureen from the right side of her face this morning to incent her to turn right.

• Maureen will consume 1/2 a glass of prune juice this morning.

• Nasal congestion is not noticeable. We will not administer Flonase.

• Maureen coughed 2-3 times during breakfast.

• 8:48AM - Blood pressure and baby aspirin pills administered.

• 8:57AM - Maureen's posture remains good. She continues to list to the left—including her head.

• 9:04AM - Maureen's energy is beginning to dissipate. She is starting to frown and forehead is beginning to furrow. Drooling is becoming more frequent. Her head is starting to droop—this in turn drags her entire torso forward.

• 9:26AM - Slumping forward of the head continues to get worse. Had to skip morning exercises. We decided to head to the lift recliner in the front room. Before doing so, Maya checked Maureen's pull up. It is dry.

• 10:03AM - Maya elected to do many of the hand, arm and leg exercises while Maureen is seated in the lift recliner. It went well—especially the leg exercises. Maya opined that the lift recliner is in many respects a better location to do the leg exercises.

• 10:07AM - Organic fruit smoothie time

• 10:40AM - Maureen began to fidget more frequently in the recliner. Maya decided to check her pull up. It was wet. We proceeded to the bathroom. After approximately 10 minutes, Maureen had a very large formed bowel movement in the toilet. She did not urinate. Maya throughly cleaned her and put on a fresh pull up. We did not observe any red marks. Overall, Maureen's posture on the commode was good. Because of this bowel movement, we will take Maureen to the bedroom for the rest of the day to be cleaned/changed when her diaper is wet.

• GENERAL OBSERVATION> Throughout the approximately 3 hours Maureen was in the lift recliner, she looked 3-5 degrees to the right most of the time. There were periods where she looked straight at the television.

• 12:25PM - Lunch. Maya served homemade chicken noodle soup, a 1/2 turkey sandwich on toasted whole wheat bread with cheese and some mango salad. Maureen's posture in the day chair is currently decent. Her head is slumping forward fairly significantly.

• 1:45PM - Maya checked Maureen's pull up. It was wet. We took Maureen to the bedroom. Maya cleaned her thoroughly. There were no red marks. She put a fresh pull up on Maureen.

• 3:05PM - Fruit snack time
