  • 6:35AM - Maureen is sleeping soundly.

  • 7:41AM - Maureen continues to sleep. She is starting to stir a bit—a little chatting.

  • Our day officially began @ 8:07AM. Maureen is alert and engaged—good form in general. Her diaper was wet. Maya thoroughly cleaned her using warm wipes from the purple packet. We noticed no red marks.

  • Breakfast service began @ 8:25AM. Maureen is tilting a bit to the left. Maya inserted a green wedge pillow into the day chair to straighten her posture.

  • 8:40AM - Morning medications administered.

  • Maureen had no problems chewing and swallowing during breakfast. She did not cough once.

  • Nasal congestion is insignificant. We will skip the Flonase.

  • Maureen's extremities are pretty supple this morning. Her arm exercises with the cups went well.

  • 9:32AM - Maureen's energy level is beginning to dissipate. Brow is beginning to furrow. She is starting to drool occasionally.

  • 9:39AM - Start the process of going out for a walk.

  • 10:15AM - We returned from a lovely walk—glad to beat the heat.

  • 10:30AM - Due to Maureen's slumping posture, we decided to proceed to the lift recliner. Maya checked Maureen's pull up first. It was dry. While heading to the front room, we decided at the last second to take Maureen to the bathroom. After about six minutes on the commode, she expelled a large amount of urine. This was the first time we have been able to get Maureen to the toilet in many weeks. It is an example that to some degree she can still control her bladder. This made our day.

  • 10:45AM - Organic fruit smoothie time.

  • 12:40PM - Lunch. It is Pasta Thursday. Chef Brian made linguine with sautéed shrimp in a marinara sauce. Maureen had a small piece of brownie for dessert.

  • 2:40PM - Maya checked Maureen's pull up. It was wet. We took her to the bathroom. She did not do anything else on the toilet. Maya throughly cleaned Maureen and put on a new pull up. The urine did not seep through to her shorts. We did not observe any red marks on Maureen's posterior.

  • 3:50PM - Maya noted Maureen’s pull up was wet. We went to the bathroom. She did not do anything else in the toilet. There were no red marks. Maya cleaned Majreen thoroughly and put on a new pull up.
