  • 6:35AM - Maureen is awake. Maya checked her diaper. It is dry.

  • Maureen was lightly stirring most of the early morning. She never went back to sleep.

  • Our day officially began @ 8:00AM. Maureen is in good form. Her diaper was dry. Maya cleaned Maureen with warmed wipes from the purple packet and put on a fresh pull up. She noted no red marks on Maureen's posterior.

  • 8:19AM - Thyroid pill administered.

  • Breakfast service began @ 8:20AM. Maureen began to list to the left from the moment we placed her in the chair. She also began to slump forward—neck is down 10-15 degrees. We placed the new medium size Posey on Maureen. Maya also inserted a green wedge pillow to help make Maureen's posture more upright. The Posey is not preventing any of the forward slump. The shoulder straps are too large. Based on how this product is deigned, I do not believe any size Posey will prevent the forward slump that is caused in large part by the downward angle of Maureen's head.

  • Maureen will consume 1/2 a glass of prune juice this morning.

  • We will not administer any Flonase today.

  • Maureen coughed 3-4 times during breakfast.

  • 8:37AM - Morning medications administered—blood pressure and baby aspirin

  • 8:55AM - Slumping forward has increased a bit more. We removed the Posey as it was not helping with the slumping forward at all.

  • 9:22AM - The slumping forward continues to get worse. We decided to transfer Maureen to the lift recliner for her comfort. Maya checked Maureen's pull up. It was wet. We proceed to the bathroom. After 10-15 minutes, Maureen urinated a large amount into the toilet. She did not move her bowels. Maya cleaned Maureen thoroughly and put on a fresh pull up. There were no red marks

  • 10:05AM - Organic fruit smoothie time.

  • 12:15PM - Lunch. Maya made 1/2 turkey sandwich on toasted whole wheat. She also made Maureen some homemade pea soup. Maureen also had some coleslaw that was in the refrigerator. Slumping was about what we have come to expect during meals. Maureen's head was down 12-15 degrees.

  • 12:47PM - Unfortunately, the slumping forward continues.

  • 1:32PM - Due to the slumping forward, Maya and I decided to return Maureen to the lift recliner in the front room. Maya checked her pull up. It was wet. We headed to the bathroom. The pull up was soaked. Waited close to 20 minutes. Maureen urinated again. She did not move her bowels.

  • 3:10PM - Fruit snack
