Friday, November 24 Daytime update

  • 6:30 am- Maureen was sleeping when Dalia arrived.

  • 6:55 am-Dalia reported that Maureen opened her eyes, she had very little twitching, pulse went up to 142 and in about 7 minutes it went back to low 100. Temperature was 99. Maureen was not in any distress during this time. Tom stayed with her after.

  • 8:00 am- Maureen is awake with Tom giving her some water via swab and sitting next to Maureen.

  • 8:15 am- Maureen is drifting back to sleep.

  • 8:30 am- Maureen is asleep.

  • 9:00 am- Maureen is asleep.

  • 9:10 am- Maureen is waking up.

  • 9:15 am- We raised the bed and administered 75 mcg of Levothyroxine.

  • 9:25 - We started the day. Maureen's diaper was medium wet and she had a medium formed bowel movement. Dalia and I cleaned and changed her. Applied Cavilon Barrier film and Cavilon cream. We next washed Maureen's upper body. There was a little redness on her right underarm. Looks like a lot of little small red dots. We applied a thin layer of nystatin. Dressed Maureen and headed to the kitchen.

  • 9:45 am- Breakfast- Oatmeal smoothie, 8 oz prune juice with 1/2 cup of Miralax, couple of spoons of yogurt. Maureen coughed twice.

  • Daily Miralax dosage- 1/2 cup.

  • 10:20 am- Morning oral care. We reclined Maureen's chair down.

  • 10:30 am- Facial routine.

  • 10:35 am- BP - 108/72.

  • 11:20 am - We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first rest break. Diaper was dry. We positioned Maureen on her on the right side at 11:30 am.

  • 12:30 pm- First rest break ends. Maureen's diaper was dry ( indication line was still yellow) , but she had an extra large soft bowel movement. Dalia and I cleaned her thoroughly, changed and headed to the kitchen.

  • 12:50 pm- Lunch- Chicken with potatoes and vegetables soup, vanilla ice cream with pumpkin pie for dessert, full cup of sparkling water. Maureen did not cough during lunch.

  • 1:20 pm- Oral care.

  • 2:15 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for rest break #2. Diaper was heavy wet. Dalia and I cleaned and changed her. Maureen will lie on her left side for an hour starting at 2:30 pm.

  • 3:30 pm- Maureen's second rest break is over. Diaper was dry. We dressed and headed Maureen to the living room.

  • 3:45 pm- Fresh watermelon snack. No coughs.
