Friday, May 31, 2024 - Daytime Update

8:00AM - Maureen was awake, looking calm and lying on her left side. According to Tom, Maureen woke up at 7:45am and was slightly distress. She took sips of water via swab.

8:15AM - Maureen went back to sleep.

8:45AM - Maureen is still sleeping.

9:00AM - Maureen starts to open her eyes, still calm and looking sleepy. We put her in an upright position and administer 75mcg of Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

9:10AM - Me and Emily started to wash Maureen's upper body with warmed purple wipes, no redness/rashes on skin observed. Diaper was medium wet, we cleaned/dried and changed her. Applied Cavilon barrier film on the sacrum and applied Cavilon cream on folds. Finished dressing then, transferred to the kitchen.

9:20AM - Breakfast started with cut up pear, 8 oz of prune juice with 1/2 cap MiraLAX, oatmeal/fruit smoothie and 2 spoonfuls of yogurt. She had half a cup of lemon water. Coughed once and Maureen was able to coughed it out.

MiraLAX daily dose - 1/2 cap

9:40AM - Administer 10mg of Loratadine with smoothie. **Reclined geri chair one notch for Maureen's comfort.

9:50AM - Oral care. Followed by facial and hand care routine.

**Maureen has been smiling a lot today. She's relaxing on her recliner, listening to the music.

10:30AM - BP: 110/65, P: 66 bpm

11:25AM - Maureen woke up from a 15min nap.

11:40AM - We transferred Maureen to her bedroom for her 1st rest break. Diaper was dry, we position to face her right side.

12:40PM - 1st rest break ended. Diaper was heavy wet. We cleaned/dried and changed Maureen. Finished dressing then, transferred to the kitchen.

12:50PM - Lunch was tuna salad, potato salad, 2 spoonfuls of yogurt, and a cup of coconut water. Coughed once and 2 sneezes.

Reclined geri chair one notch after for Maureen's comfort.

1:30PM - Oral care.

2:00PM - Maureen had a cup of lemon water. She was comfortably, listening to the music - hands relaxed.

2:35PM - We moved Maureen to the bedroom for her 2nd rest break. Diaper was dry, we inserted suppository to aid with her bowel movement. Position to face her left side after.

3:30PM - 2nd rest break ended. Diaper was lightly wet with large formed bowel movement. We cleaned her thoroughly and dried then, changed and dressed Maureen. Transferred her to the front room.

3:45PM - Fruit snack time (banana, apple and melon). Maureen had a quarter a cup of lemon water before her fruit snack. No coughs.
