Friday January 5, 2024 Daytime update

• 6:30am Maureen‘s lying on her left. Tom tells, she’s been in and out of sleep since around

• 5:15am, receptive to sips of water via swab,

• 7:00am Maureen’s sleeping.

• 7:30am She is sleepy.

• 8:20am Maureen’s fully awake, we raised her bed and administered 75mcg with apple sauce.

• 8:30am Our day starts giving Maureen an upper body bath with warmed purple wipes and aloe vesta , cleaning and changing a md wet diaper and applying Cavilon barrier and cream. Noticed small redness spot under right armpit, applied a thin layer of nystatin. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 8:50am Breakfast: 8oz prune juice with 3/4 cap Miralax, coffee, oatmeal/fruit smoothie w/2 prunes and couple spoons of Greek yogurt. Coughed 3 times, able to grab some phlegm with the suction pump.

• 9:15am Administered 10mg Loratadine with yogurt.

• Daily Miralax dosage: 3/4 cap.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for Maureen’s comfort.

• 9:20am Morning oral care.

• 9:30am Facial routine.

• 9:45 Blood pressure: 105/65, P64.

• 10:30am Maureen sits awake with relaxed arms while listening to music.

• Maureen had 3/4 cup of lemon water.

• 11:00am Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s first resting break. Diaper was md wet, cleaned and changed. Positioned on her right side at 11:15.

• 12:10m First break ends. Diaper was dry, dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 12:25pm Lunch: Turkey ham/cheese salad, toasted rye with guacamole, full cup of sparkling water and rice pudín for dessert. Maureen enjoyed dessert so much that said something like “Ahay!”Ol. Coughed once.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

• 1:10pm Oral care.

• 2:00 pm Maureen sits well awake and relaxed while listening her music collection.

• She had half cup of lemon water.

• 2:20pm Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second resting break. Cleaned and changed a md wet diaper; since no BM, a suppository was inserted. Positioned on her left side at 2:35.

• 3:20pm Second break ends. Cleaned and changed a md wet diaper and an XX-Large BM (1/3 formed, 2/3 soft). Dressed and headed to the front room.

• 3:45pm Maureen is enjoying her fruit snack (melon/pear/kiwi). No coughs.
