Friday, December 8 Daytime update

• 8:00 am- Maureen is opening her eyes , still sleepy. She has been in and out of sleep since 5 am.

• 8:30 am- Maureen is awake now, getting some sips of water.

• 8: 40 am- We raised the bed and administered 75 mcg of Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 8:45 am- We started the day. Maureen's diaper was medium wet. We cleaned and changed her. Applied Cavilon Barrier film and Cavilon cream. We next washed Maureen's upper body . There was some redness on Maureen's right underarm. Applied a thin layer of nystatin. Dressed and transferred Maureen to the kitchen.

• 9:10 am- Breakfast- Oatmeal smoothie with 2 prunes in, 6 oz of prune juice, couple of spoons of yogurt. No coughs.

• 9:35 am- Administered 10 mg of Loratadin with yogurt.

• 9:40 am- Morning oral care. We reclined Maureen's chair down.

• 9:45 am- Facial routine.

• 10:15 am- We went to the living room. Nurse from JCare , Katie came for re- evaluation.

• 10:40 am- Maureen is snoozing in the chair.

• 11:20 am- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first rest break. Diaper was dry. We positioned her on the right side at 11:30 am.

• 12:30 pm- Maureen's rest break #1 ends. Her diaper was medium wet. We changed and cleaned her. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 12:45 pm- Lunch- Beans soup, chicken salad, red beets, 12 oz cup of root beer, couple spoons of yogurt. One cough.

• 1:20 pm- Oral care. We reclined Maureen's chair down.

• 2:00 am- Maureen is resting, having some water.

• 2:20 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second rest break. Diaper was medium wet. We cleaned and changed her. Maureen will lie on her left side for an hour starting at 2:35 pm.

• 3:35 pm- Maureen's second rest break is over now. Diaper was medium wet. We cleaned and changed her. Dressed and transferred her to the recliner.

• 3:50 pm- Fresh fruit snack- watermelon, pear and kiwi. Maureen coughed once.

• Maureen had a good day today. She was very present. We got a lot of smiles, a few words here and there.
