  • 6:30AM - Maureen is awake. Chatting with herself from time to time.

  • 6:40AM - Diaper is wet.

  • Maureen began her day at 8:05. She is alert and smiling from time to time. Maya got things started by applying the Tolcylen to both big toes. Diaper was medium wet. We began by doing a clean and change. Wednesday is bed bath day. We did not noice any areas on Maureen's upper body that were red and would require the application of Nystatin Ointment.

  • Breakfast service began @ 8:50AM. Maureen's posture in the geri chair is very good. Maya gave Maureen a tea spoon of Manuka honey followed by the administration of the thyroid medication. Maureen handled breakfast pretty well. She coughed only three times.

  • Maureen will drink approximately 4 ounces of prune juice this morning.

  • Daily MiraLAX dosage: None

  • 9:18AM - Maya administered the blood pressure medication.

  • 9:23AM - Morning oral care routine

  • 9:34AM - Eyelash cleaning and eye drops

  • 10:00am We headed to the bedroom for a change before Maureen’s trip to the periodontist. Her diaper is wet - we cleaned up using the 3M cleanser spray and put on a new diaper. Using the stair lift, we brought Maureen downstairs.

  • 10:30am Trip to see Dr Difranco. Maureen tolerated the ride very well - no slumping in the transport chair.

  • 11:00am Maureen starts her cleaning. She stayed in the transport chair for the procedure. We recliner Maureen three notches down. She handled it very well - no biting or coughing. Minimal bleeding. Dr Difranco directed us to massage Maureen’s gums with a soft bristle toothbrush in addition to her current oral care routine. Otherwise, we are to continue our routine as it is obviously working. She commended all of us for taking very good care of Maureen’s teeth. She is recommending Maureen return for another cleaning in 3-4 months.

  • 12:35pm We arrived back at the house and headed straight to the bedroom for a change. Maureen’s diaper is wet - we cleaned up using the 3M cleanser spray and put on a new diaper.

  • 12:44pm Lunchtime. Maureen will eat half a turkey sandwich with cheese, fresh tomato, and chicken onion soup with a bottle of coconut water.

  • 1:15pm Oral care. No bleeding occurred.

  • 1:30 It is time for Maureen’s rest time. Her diaper is wet - we cleaned up and put on a new diaper. Maureen is lying on her left side with two green wedge pillows behind her and the white block pillow placed in between her legs. Her rest time officially started at 1:42pm.

  • 3:00pm We roused Maureen from her rest. Her diaper is wet - we cleaned up and put on a new diaper. We headed to the front room after using the Hoyer lift.
