December 3 daytime update

• 6:30AM - Maureen is awake—chatting every so often.

• 6:40AM - Maya checked the diaper. It is dry.

• 7:10AM - Diaper is now wet.

• Maureen began her day @ 8:07AM. She is in good spirits. We began by tilting the bed to 90 degrees to give her four sips of water. Maureen really enjoys this. The diaper was medium wet. We did a standard clean and change process using the entire suite of 3M Cavilon products on the appropriate areas. Lastly, we completed the wash and dry process of all areas of the upper body where perspiration accumulates. None of the areas of focus required the application of Nystatin Ointment.

• Breakfast service began @ 8:45AM. Posture in the geri chair is very good. Maureen is not tilting to the left this morning. Maya got things started with a tea spoon of Manuka honey and immediately followed up with the thyroid medication. Maureen handled breakfast reasonably well. She coughed five times.

• Maureen will consume approximately 6 ounces of prune juice this morning.

• Daily MiraLAX dosage: 1/2 cap

• 9:15AM - Maya administered the blood pressure medication.

• 9:25AM - Morning oral care

• General observation @ 9:28AM> Maureen lost energy quickly. She is now uttering the low moan/groan somewhat consistently.

• 9:43AM - Eyelash cleaning and eye drops

• 9:50AM - Daily facial treatment

• 10:35AM - Organic fruit smoothie. Maureen coughed three times while drinking the purple haze.

• 10:57AM - We transported Maureen to the bedroom to prepare for Rest Break #1. Diaper was light wet. Just as we were wrapping up the clean and change process, Maureen had a small former bowel movement. She also expelled a large amount of urine on the pad. We replaced the pad and repeated the clean and change process. Lastly, Maya and I positioned Maureen on her left side.

• 11:20AM - Rest Break #1 begins. Maureen will lay on her left side for the next hour.

• 12:20PM - Rest Break #1 ends. Diaper was light wet. We did a standard clean and change headed to the kitchen.

• 12:45PM - Lunch | 1/2 a tuna salad sandwich on toasted whole wheat, 1/2 a bowel of homemade split pea soup and 1/4 of a sliced tomato. Maureen will drink 1 12 ounce bottle of Harmless Harvest Organic Coconut Water. Lunch concludes with a small serving of rice pudding that Maureen truly enjoyed. Maureen coughed 5 times while eating lunch.

• 1:35PM - Afternoon oral care

• 1:55PM - Headed to the bedroom to prepare for Rest Break # 2. Diaper was light wet. We performed a clean and change and set Maureen up on her right side.

• 2:10PM - Rest Break #2 begins. Maureen will remain on her right side for the next 60 minutes.

• 3:10PM - Rest Break #2 ends. Diaper was heavy wet. We performed a clean and change. Then, it was off to the front room.

• 3:35PM - Afternoon fruit snack.
