  • 6:40AM - Maureen is sleeping. Djon just checked Maureen's pull up. It is dry.

  • Our day officially began @ 8:00AM. Maureen is in fine form this morning. Her diaper was wet. We thoroughly cleaned her and put on a new pull up and a freshly laundered pair of shorts. There are no red marks on Maureen's posterior.

  • Breakfast service began @ 8:22AM. Djon administered the thyroid pill just before the food service began. Maureen's posture in the geri chair is good. She was tilting a bit to the left. We inserted a wedge pillow to straighten her posture.

  • Maureen will consume 1/2 glass of undiluted prune juice this morning.

  • There is a minor amount of redness and dried skin underneath the left side of Maureen's nose and on the inner portion of her left eyebrow. Djon will apply Neosporin to these two areas.

  • 8:32AM - Maureen is showing a bit of lethargy right now. Eyes are not completely wide open.

  • 8:47AM - Maureen continues to nod off. We have not completed breakfast yet.

  • 9:08AM - Djon administered the blood pressure pill and baby aspirin

  • Maureen coughed 4-5 times during breakfast—two of them were cough sneezes.

  • GENERAL OBSERVATION> As of 9:33AM, Maureen has held water in her mouth on 4 occasions.

  • 10:15AM - VITALS - Temperature: 98.7, Oxygen: 98 and Pulse: 82

  • 10:25AM - Maureen was writhing around quite a bit. Her hands were clenched. Pull up was dry. Neither Djon nor I smelled anything. The writhing persisted. Since we gave Maureen a 1/2 glass of prune juice, we decided it would be prudent to take her to the bathroom. She had already moved her bowels, medium size formed, into the pull up. Did not do anything else in the bathroom. Djon very thoroughly cleaned Maureen. We then brought Maureen to the lift recliner.

  • 11:15AM - Organic fruit smoothie time.

  • 12:35PM - Lunch - Today, we served Maureen 1/2 turkey on toasted whole wheat with a little mayonnaise, 1/2 bowl of homemade butternut squash soup and 1/2 a sliced tomato. Prior to placing Maureen in the geri chair, Djon checked the Maureen's pull up. It was dry.

  • 1:30PM VITALS - Temperature: 98.6, Oxygen: 98 and Pulse: 86.

  • 1:40PM - Djon determined Maureen's pull up was wet. We decided to head to the bedroom since Maureen had a medium size formed bowel movement earlier today. We discovered she had another medium sized formed bowel movement in the pull up. Djon cleaned Maureen very thoroughly—especially since she was in bed. We then put on a new pull up.

  • 2:20PM - Kathy and Djon shampooed and styled Maureen's hair. As usual, Maureen's hair looks marvelous.

  • 3:15PM - Djon noted Maureen's pull up was wet. We headed to the bedroom to change and clean her. There was a slight amount of fecal discharge on the pull up. Djon thoroughly cleaned Maureen and put a new pull up on her. The urine seeped slightly through to the shorts. We put a new pair of shorts on her as well.
