Wednesday September 27, 2023 Daytime update

• 6:30am Maureen’s asleep lying on her left side.

• 7:00am Maureen started waking up calmly 15 minutes ago. She’s accepting sips of water via swab.

• 7:30am Maureen’s awake and receptive to zips of water via swab.

• 8:00am Maureen seems fully awake, we raised her bed head and administered 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 8:10am Our day starts. Marianne and I cleaned and changed a md wet diaper and applied Cavilon barrier and cream. Performed a full body bath using warmed purple wipes and aloe vesta. There’s some redness around the bellybutton, cleaned and applied a thin layer of nystatin. Dressed and headed Maureen to the kitchen.

• 8:30am Maureen’s enjoying an oatmeal/fruit smoothie with 2tsps grounded flaxseed, 6oz prune juice and couple spoons of Greek yogurt. She coughed twice, used suction pump to get rid of some phlegm.

• No Miralax.

• 8:45am Administered 10mg Loratadine with yogurt.

• 8:55am Morning oral care.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for Maureen’s comfort.

• 9:05am Facial routine.

• 9:30am Maureen’s sitting with good posture listening to music. Her energy is present, gave us a smile already.

• Carolyn visited Maureen.

• 10:30am Maureen almost finished drinking her first cup of lemon water. She stayed mostly awake in the Geri chair.

• 11:00am Ann, RN came for Maureen’s weekly visit, Meghann, SW also visited.

• 11:25am Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first break. Diaper was md wet, cleaned and changed. Positioned on her right side starting at 11:40.

• 12:20pm First break ends. Diaper was md wet, cleaned and changed, dressed and continued to wash Maureen’s hair then headed to the kitchen.

• 12:45pm Blow dry and styled Maureen’s hair.

• 1:00pm Lunch: Carrots soup, grilled chicken salad, diced beets, full cup of sparkling water and couple spoons of Greek yogurt for dessert. She coughed once.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for Maureen’s comfort.

• 1:40pm Oral care.

• 2:30pm Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second break. Diaper was heavy wet, cleaned and changed. Positioned on her Lt side starting at 2:45pm.

• 3:25pm Second break ends. Diaper was dry, dressed and headed Maureen to the front room.

• 3:40pm Maureen’s enjoying her fruit snack (melon/pear/kiwi). No coughs. She finished drinking her second cup of lemon water.
