Wednesday November 8, 2023 Daytime update

• 6:30am Maureen’s lying on her bed with opened eyes already.

• 7:00am Maureen’s in and out of sleep.

• 7:30am She’s sleeping with Tom by her side.

• 8:25am Maureen’s awake, we raised her bed head and administered 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 8:30am Marianne and I cleaned and changed a md wet diaper and applied Cavilon barrier and cream. Gave Maureen a full body bath using warmed purple wipes and aloe vesta. Redness by her right armpit is hardly visible, applied a thin layer of nystatin. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 9:00am Maureen’s enjoying an oatmeal/fruit smoothie, 6oz prune juice and couple spoons of Greek yogurt. She coughed once and was able bring out some phlegm on her own.

• 9:25am Administered 10mg Loratadine with smoothie.

• Daily Miralax dosage: none.

• 9:35am Morning oral care. Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

• 9:45am Facial routine.

• 10:00am Maureen is relaxed and awake. She’s enjoying some sips of coffee while listening her music.

• Maureen had half cup of lemon water.

• Carolyn visited for Maureen’s visit with nurse Ann.

• 10:45am Ann, RN came for Maureen’s weekly visit.

• 11:25am Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first break. Diaper was md wet with a Small-soft bowel movement, cleaned and changed. Positioned on her right side at 11:40.

• 12:30pm First break ends. CleaNed and changed a md wet diaper and continued to wash Maureen’s hair. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 12:50pm Blow dry and styled Maureen’s hair.

• 1:00pm Lunch: Veggies soup, sliced boiled egg, 1/2 slice toasted bread, sauté onions, full cup of sparkling water and couple spoons of Greek yogurt for dessert. Maureen coughed once.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for Maureen’s comfort .

• 1:40pm Oral care.

• Maureen finished drinking her first cup of lemon water.

• 2:30pm Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second break. Diaper was md wet with a Small-soft BM, cleaned and changed. Positioned on her Lt side starting at 2:45.

• 3:30pm Second break ends. Cleaned and changed a md wet diaper. Dressed and headed Maureen to the front room.

• 3:45pm Maureen’s enjoying her fruit snack, watermelon. No coughs.

• Mostly the whole day Maureen’s been awake and alert, closing he eyes only briefly after breakfast. Coughing was minimal and so was phlegm secretion. She’s been quiet but in good spirits.
