Wednesday July 31, 2024 Daytime update

• 8:00am Maureen’s sleepy , lying on her left. Tom tells, she woke up calmly around 7:30, had few sips of water via swab and went back to sleep.

• 8:30am Maureen’s awake, we raised the bed to administer 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 8:35am Joanna and I started our day by giving Maureen a full body bath using warmed washcloth and Cetaphil cleanser, no redness observed. Clean/change a dry diaper, applied Cavilon barrier film to sacrum, barrier cream to inner thighs area. No vaginal discharge observed. Dressed and continued to wash Maureen’s hair, and then transferred to the kitchen.

• 9:05am Breakfast starts with coffee and a cup of lemon water.

• 9:15am Administered 2-50mg Senna plus (crushed) with apple sauce.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

• 9:20am Blow/dry and styled Maureen’s hair.

• 9:35am Breakfast cont. with 6oz prune juice and oatmeal/fruit smoothie with a spoonful of yogurt. Coughed twice and had a sneezing, red face episode. Suction pump used once.

• 9:45am Administered 10mg Loratadine with smoothie.

• Maureen coughed twice, after breakfast, and was able to get rid of phlegm on her own.

• Daily Miralax dosage: None, Senna plus instead.

• 10:00am Oral care.

• 10:15am Saline and albuterol Neb treatment.

• 11:00am Kelsie, RN arrives for Maureen’s weekly visit.

               BP: 102/62

Arm circumference : 23.5

Thigh circumference: 33.5

• 11:30am Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s first resting break. Clean/change a medium wet diaper, then positioned on her right side.

• 12:30pm First break ends. Diaper it’s dry, dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 12:45pm Lunch: Sweetpeas soup, boiled egg, guacamole and full cup of sparkling water. Maureen sneezed twice with runny nose, no coughs.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for Maureen’s comfort.

• 1:30pm Oral care.

• 2:00pm Maureen is sitting with relaxed hands and alert while watching the Olympics.

• 2:20pm Maureen had a cup of cranberry juice.

• 2:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second resting break. Clean/change a heavy wet diaper, and then positioned on her left, inserted a suppository.

• 3:25pm Second break ends. Clean/change a medium wet diaper with an Extra large-soft BM. Dressed and headed to the living area.

• 3:45pm Maureen’s enjoying her fruit snack (melon/apple/banana).
