Wednesday January 17, 2024 Daytime update

• 6:30am Maureen accepted sips of water earlier. She’s awake, lying on her left with Tom next to her.

• 7:00am Maureen went back to sleep.

• 7:30am She’s in and out of sleep, taking sips of water in between.

• 8:00am Drifting back to sleep.

• 8:30am Maureen is still sleepy.

• 9:00am Maureen is awake, we raised the bed and administered 75mcg Levothyroxine w/apple sauce.

• 9:10am Our day starts giving Maureen a full body bath with warmed purple wipes and aloe vesta. Marianne and I cleaned/ changed a md wet diaper, applied Cavilon barrier and cream. No redness observed. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 9:30am Administered 50mg Senna plus with apple sauce followed by a cup of lemon water.

• 9:45am Breakfast: 6oz prune juice, oatmeal/fruit smoothie and couple spoons of Greek yogurt. Maureen coughed once, was able to get rid of some phlegm on her own.

• 10:00am Administered 10mg loratadine with smoothie.

• No Miralax, Senna plus instead.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for Maureen’s comfort.

• 10:20am Morning oral care.

• 10:30am Facial routine performed.

• 11:00am Maureen sits relaxed and awake listening to her playlist.

• Ann, RN could not be here today, she will see Maureen tomorrow.

• 11:20am Blood pressure: 115/80, P 72.

• 11:30am Maureen had 1/4 cup of ginger tea before we transferred to the bedroom for the first resting break. Diaper was dry, positioned on her right at 11:40.

• 12:30pm First break ends. Diaper was heavy wet, cleaned and changed. Dressed and continued to wash Maureen’s hair, transferred to the kitchen after.

• 12:50pm Blow dry and and styled Maureen’s hair.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

• 1:00pm Lunch: Veggies soup, tuna salad, fresh tomato, full cup of coconut water and couple spoons of greek yogurt for dessert. Maureen coughed twice during meal.

• During lunch Maureen was smiling and she’s been talking the whole day! Here’re some of the words she said: ”probably, I like it, really…” 🙏

• 1:40pm Oral care.

• Maureen had 1/4 cup of ginger tea.

• 2:30pm Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second resting break. Cleaned and changed a md wet diaper then positioned on her left at 2:45.

• 3:30pm Second break ends. Diaper was md wet, cleaned and changed. Dressed and headed to the front room.

• 3:45pm Maureen is enjoying her fruit snack

• (melon/pear/kiwi), plus 1/2 cup of lemon water. No coughs.
