Wednesday February 7, 2024 Daytime update

• 8:00am Maureen is awake, still sleepy though still. She’s lying on her left side. As per Tom, she’s been in and out of sleep since 5:30am, accepting sips of water via swab in between.

• 8:30am Maureen is awake, we raised the bed and administered 75mcg Levothyroxine w/apple sauce.

• 8:40am Our day starts giving Maureen a full body bath using warmed purple wipes and aloe vesta. Joanna and I cleaned and changed a md wet diaper and applied Cavilon barrier/cream. Applied a thin layer of nystatin to redness spot by her left armpit. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 9:00am Administered 50mg Senna w/apple sauce and a cup of lemon water.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

• 9:15am Breakfast: 8oz prune juice, oatmeal/fruit smoothie w/2 prunes and couple spoons of Greek yogurt. Coughed twice, suction pump used.

• 9:30am Administered 10mg Loratadine w/smoothie.

• No Miralax, Senna plus instead.

• 9:40am Morning oral care.

• 9:50am Facial routine performed.

• 10:00am Maureen is enjoying watching an animated movie. She napped for about 30 minutes during this time.

• 11:00am Ann, RN came for Maureen’s weekly visit:

Lungs are clear

Temp: 97.5

BP: 122/74

Pulse: 76

Forearm circumference: 25.5cms.

• 11:20pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s first resting break Diaper was md wet, cleaned and changed. Positioned on her right side at 11:35.

• 12:20pm First break ends. Diaper was md wet, cleaned and changed. Dressed and continued to wash Maureen’s hair then headed to the kitchen.

• 12:40pm Blow dry and styled Maureen’s hair.

• 12:50pm Lunch: White beans soup, chicken salad, steamed baby beets, full cup sparkling water and couple spoons of Greek yogurt with piernikowy for dessert. No coughs.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

• 1:40pm Oral care.

• 2:00pm Maureen sits fully awake, smiley and in good while listening music. She had half cup of lemon water in the meantime.

• 2:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second resting break. Cleaned and changed a md wet diaper then positioned on her left side at 2:45.

• 3:30pm Second break ends. Cleaned and changed a md wet diaper, dressed and headed to the living area.

• 3:45pm Maureen is enjoying her fruit snack (melon/pear/kiwi).
