Wednesday August 14, 2024 Daytime update

• 8:00am Maureen is lying on her left with Tom by her side and accepting sips of water after waking up.

• 8:30am Maureen’s asleep.

• 9:00am Maureen is sleeping soundly.

• 9:30am Maureen’s still sleeping, we repositioned on her right side.

• 9:43am Maureen opened her eyes and after few minutes started twinkling slightly. It lasted about eight minutes.

• 10:00am Maureen seems fully awake, we raised the bed to administer 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 10:05am Joanna and I started our day by giving Maureen a full body bath using damped washcloth and cetaphil cleanser, no redness observed. Clean/change a medium wet diaper, applied Cavilon barrier film to sacrum, barrier cream to inner thighs area. No vaginal discharge observed. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 10:30am Breakfast starts with fresh pear, cup of lemon water and coffee.

• Carolyn arrives for Maureen’s visit with nurse Kelsie.

• 10:45am Blow/dry and styled Maureen’s hair.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

• 11:00am Breakfast cont. with an oatmeal/fruit smoothie. Maureen coughed twice during breakfast and had sneezing/coughing/red face episode after.

• No Metamucil given

• 11:10am Administered 10mg Loratadine with smoothie.

• 11:15am Administered 500mg METRONIDAZOLE ( last dosage) with yogurt.

• 11:20am Kelsie, RN arrives for Maureen’s weekly visit:

  Lungs are clear

  Temp: 97.5

  Pulse: 84

  BP: 118/64

  Arm circumference: 25cm

  Thigh circumference: 33cm

• 12:05pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s first resting break. Diaper it’s dry, positioned on her right side.

• 12:55pm First break ends. Clean/change a heavy wet diaper, dressed and headed to the kitchen. No vaginal discharge observed.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for Maureen’s comfort.

• 1:10pm Lunch: Sweetpeas soup, shrimp salad, fresh tomato, full cup of sparkling water and yogurt. Coughed once.

• 1:50pm Oral care.

• 2:20pm Maureen is listening to her playlist. She closed her eyes briefly before going for her break.

• 2:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second break. Clean/change a medium wet diaper, positioned on her left side. No vaginal discharge observed.

• 3:30pm Second break ends. Diaper it’s dry, dressed and headed to the living area.

• 3:45am Maureen’s enjoying her fruit snack (melon/pear/kiwi) with half cup of lemon water.
