Wednesday, April 5 Daytime update

• 6:30 am- Maureen is sleeping.

• 7:00 am- Maureen is still asleep.

• 7:30 am- Maureen is still sleeping.

• 8:00 am- Maureen is waking up.

• 8:05 am- Maureen started twitching a little, we heard the clicking sound of her tongue, her pulse went up to 89. After 5 minutes twitching stopped, pulse came down to her normal- 65.

• 8:15 - We started the day. Maureen's diaper was medium wet. Dalia and I cleaned and changed. Applied Cavilon Barrier film and Cavilon cream. We gave Maureen a full body bed bath . Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• We noticed a big red spot on Maureen's right elbow, covering almost the whole elbow. Doesn't look like a bite spot.

• 8:35 am- Administered Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 8:36 am- Breakfast- oatmeal, 8 oz of prune juice with 1/2 cup of Miralax, cup of lemon water. Maureen coughed three times.

• Daily Miralax dosage- -1/2 cup.

• 9:15 am- Morning oral care.

• 9:20 am- We reclined Maureen's chair down. Maureen is snoozing in the chair now.

• 10:00 am- Maureen is sleeping in the chair.

• 10:30 am- Maureen opened her eyes a few times, but goes back to sleep again.

• 10:45 am- Maureen woke up for the smoothie.

• 11:15 am- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first rest break. Diaper was dry. Carolyn inserted a suppository to help Maureen move her bowels, We positioned her on the right side at 11:25 am.

• 12:25 pm- First rest break is over. Maureen's diaper was medium wet. She had an extra large formed bowel movement. Dalia and I cleaned Maureen thoroughly, changed and dressed her. We proceeded with washing Maureen's hair. Headed to the kitchen after.

• 12:50 pm- Drying and styling Maureen's hair. Face and hands routine.

• 1:00 pm- Lunch- chicken noodle soup, ham salad, steamed carrots, cup of water with a little coconut water in . Maureen coughed twice.

• 1:30 pm- Oral care. We reclined Maureen's chair down.

• 2:10 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second rest break. Diaper was dry. Maureen will lie on her left side for an hour starting at 2:20 pm.

• 3:20 pm- Second rest break ends. Maureen's diaper was medium wet. We cleaned and changed her.We are monitoring a little redness around her anal area which we think is a result of having her bowel movement today . Dressed and headed to living room.

• 3:35 pm- Fresh fruit snack- pear and watermelon. Maureen enjoyed it. No coughs.

• 3:45 pm- Weekly visit with Ann Emberson, RN.
