Tuesday October 8, 2024 Daytime update

• 8:00am Maureen sleeps soundly lying on her left side.

• 8:40am Maureen woke up 12 minutes ago with big open eyes and light twitching, her pulse went up to 135 briefly, descending to 117 and slowly down to 100 at the end. The whole episode lasted approximately 12 minutes.

• 9:20am Maureen seems fully awake, we raised her bed to administer 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 9:30am Merianne and I started our day giving Maureen an upper body bath using warm purple wipes, no redness observed. Clean/change a dry diaper with slight trace of light brown vaginal discharge, applied Cavilon barrier film to sacrum, barrier cream to inner thighs. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 9:50am Breakfast: 8oz prune juice with a full cap of Miralax, coffee and oatmeal/fruit smoothie with a full activia yogurt. Coughed twice and had a sneezing coughing episode.

• 10:15am Administered 10mg Loratadine and 100mg Colace with smoothie.

• Daily Miralax dosage: full cap

• 10:20am Oral care.

• 10:30am Facial routine performed.

• 10:40am We go with Maureen for a walk around the neighborhood. She stayed awake the whole time.

• Back home, Maureen had 1/3 cup of lemon water.

• 11:45am Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s first resting break. Clean/change a medium wet diaper, positioned on her right side.

• 12:45pm First break ends. Diaper it’s dry, dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 1:00pm Lunch: Broccoli soup, chicken salad with sauté onion and tomato, guacamole, full cup of sparkling water and chocolate chips cookie for dessert. Coughed twice and had a red face episode.

• 1:45pm We decided to treat Maureen with a saline Neb therapy, she sounds stuffy and a bit phlegmy.

• 1:55pm Oral care.

• 2:20pm Maureen already seems to be doing better after the neb treatment. She sits alert and relaxed listening to her playlist. Had 2/3 cup of lemon water in the meantime.

• 2:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second resting break. Clean/change a heavy wet diaper with a Very small-formed BO, positioned on her left side.

• 3:35pm Second break ends. Clean/change a medium wet diaper with a Medium-formed BM. Dressed and headed to the living room.

• 3:50pm Maureen’s enjoying her fruit snack (melon/pear/kiwi), and half cup of ginger tea.
