4:00pm Maureen is sitting comfortably in the recliner.
4:46pm Low moan/groan.
5:30pm We headed to the bedroom for a change. Maureen’s diaper is medium wet - we cleaned up and put on a new diaper. We headed to the kitchen after.
5:45pm Dinner - chicken burrito bowl with guacamole from Chipotle.
6:06pm 5mg Olanzapine with orange créme yogurt and 7.5mL VIMPAT.
6:15pm Oral care
6:20pm Night time facial routine. Vicks applied to chest.
6:30pm Bedtime - transferred Maureen to bed using the Hoyer lift. Tolcylen applied to both big toes. Her diaper is lightly wet and she had a small, formed bowel movement. We cleaned up, applied Cavilon barrier cream, and put on a new diaper. Maureen is lying on her left side with two green wedge pillows behind her and the white block pillow in between her legs.
Vitals at bedtime: T 97.2 P 76 O2 97%.
Dinner tonight was challenging. Maureen had low energy, eyes closed - chewing and swallowing was difficult. She eventually perked up a bit and was able to eat. Lots of coughing and red face occurred. At bedtime, Maureen was coughing as soon as we transferred her to bed to lay down. We sat the head of the bed up 90° and Maureen was able to cough out a significant amount of saliva. I also used a swab to help sponge out any residual secretions.
