Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024 - Daytime Update

8:00AM - Maureen was already awake when I came in and laying on her left side.

8:20AM - Raised the bed and we administered 75mcg of Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

8:30AM - We started Maureen's day by washing her upper body with warmed purple wipes. Very light redness on underarm, applied thin layer of Nyastatin. Diaper was medium wet, we cleaned and changed her. Applied Cavilon barrier film on sacrum and Cavilon cream on folds. Finished dressing Maureen and headed to the kitchen.

8:50AM - Breakfast started with 6oz prune juice with 1/2 cap MiraLAX, oatmeal/fruit smoothie with 2 prunes, and yogurt. Coughed once. Reclined geri chair one notch after.

Daily dose of MiraLAX - 1/2 cap

9:15AM - Administered 10mg of Loratadine with yogurt.

9:25AM - Oral care.

9:35AM - Facial and hand care routine.

9:50AM - BP: 105/68, P: 60 bpm

10:55AM - Maureen had a cup of cold ginger tea.

11:00AM - Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her 1st rest break. Diaper was medium wet. We cleaned and changer her. Positioned Maureen to face her right side starting at 11:10am.

12:05PM -1st rest break ended. Diaper was dry. We transferred Maureen to the kitchen for lunch.

12:10PM - Lunch was shrimp salad, beets, veggie soup, 12oz rootbeer, and yogurt with fresh sliced strawberry. Maureen enjoyed her lunch. Coughed once, used suction machine to aid her with the coughing.

12:40PM - Oral care. Reclined geri chair after.

12:50PM - Nebulizer treatment with Saline Sol'n given to Maureen due to her runny nose before we put her to 1st rest break as well as she has been trying to cough up her phlegm.

She coughed once while on treatment.

1:30PM - Maureen has been quite today, she's sitting on her chair comfortably - awake. Had 3/4 cup of lemon water.

2:25PM - We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her 2nd rest break. Diaper as heavy wet. We cleaned, and inserted suppository to aid on her bowel movement, then changed her. Positioned to face her left side starting at 3:35pm.

2:30PM - 2nd rest break ended. Diaper was medium wet with large formed bowel movement. We cleaned and changed Maureen. Then, transferred to the front room.

2:45PM - Gave Maureen sips of water. Fruit snacks time (kiwi, pear and melon).
