Tuesday, February 28 Daytime update

  • 6:30 am- Maureen is asleep.

  • 7:30 am- Maureen is still deeply asleep

  • 8:00 am- Maureen is still sound asleep.

  • 8:24 am- Maureen opened her eyes. Her arm twitched a little couple of times. We immediately put the oxymeter on her finger. Pulse was 65. Hands were relaxed. The only unusual thing was that Maureen suddenly jumped with wide open eyes and wide open mouth . Her eyes were staring for a few seconds. It happened two times. Pulse was in the normal 65/70 range all the time. Oxygen was great too.

  • 8:40 am- Maureen is closing her eyes, she is in and out of sleep. We have the oxymeter on her finger, she is calm.

  • 9:00 am- Maureen is deeply asleep again.

  • 9:30 am- Maureen is still sleeping.

  • 9:40 am- Maureen opened her eyes for a little, gradually going back to sleep, she looks sleepy. Pulse is 60, O2-96. .

  • 10:15 am- Maureen is awake now and we started the day. Her diaper was dry. We dressed and headed to the kitchen for Dr. Parise's appointment.

  • 10:30 am- Administered Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

  • 10:31 am- Smoothie and 0 oz of prune juice with 1/4 cup of Miralax. One cough. We reclined Maureen's chair prior because of her leaning forward.

  • Daily Miralax dosage- 1/4 cup.

  • 10:35 am- Dr. Parise came in and cut Maureen's toenails.

  • 10:50 am- Morning oral care.

  • 10:55 am- Facial routine.

  • 11:00 am- Maureen looks very well rested this morning. No congestion, no runny nose.

  • 12:00 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for a change. Her diaper was medium wet with a extra large soft bowel movement. Dalia and I cleaned it thoroughly. We next gave Maureen a full body bed bath. We stayed far away from the heart monitor. The abdominal fold is still red. We cleaned, dried and applied Nystatin. There was slight redness under her left breast. Applied a thin layer of Nystatin.Dressed and proceeded to washing Maureen's hair. Headed to the kitchen after.

  • 12:30 pm- Dried and styled Maureen's hair. We reclined Maureen's chair.

  • 12:45 pm- Lunch- beet soup, shrimp salad, fresh tomatoe, bottle of coconut water. Two coughs. Four sneezes.

  • Maureen seems to have a good energy now. She is trying to talk, we saw a couple of smiles.

  • 2:15 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom. Her diaper was dry. Maureen will lie on her right side for an hour starting at 2:25 pm.

  • 3:25 pm- Rest break is over. Maureen's diaper was heavy wet. Dalia and I cleaned and changed. Applied Cavilon cream. Dressed and headed to the front room.

  • 3:40 pm- Fruit snack.

-9:30am Maureen is awake and Tom gave her a few swabs of water. We sat Maureen in a upright position & gave her 75mcg of Levothyroxine w/pear puree & a albuterol breathing treatment. Maureen drank 6oz
